Talk about making examples of players....the severity of this ban is ridiculous honestly. This is the RFEF that makes these decisions right?

They could've gotten their point across with just a 1 game ban.

The double standards and lack of consistency from this body is pretty appalling though. Madrid and Barca fans have plenty to complain about with stuff like this.

Agreed. The biggest problem with it is usually the league is so close between the top 2 that a couple bad mistakes for one side more than the other can really have an impact.

Its like two problems. The refs are godawful, the worst in Europe by my book...then on top of that the higher ups are just as bad so even in retrospect things dont get fixed properly.

"Erm, well why? Did he not say what he said?"

"Well yes he did, but still, 5 games is a very long time"

"Oh well, that explains it all, okay then 1 game"

5 is maybe too much, but he should have had a direct red for that second challenge regardless of insults. So the ref tried to do him a favor and the idiot insults the ref.
