I'm pretty sure this is a recycled interview. Argentine media hasn't picked up on anything like this soon and I doubt Tevez would even mention his club during the Copa. He would do like Aguero did recently:

Spanish reporter: Are you going to Real Madrid?
Aguero: I'm sorry, but I'm only thinking about the Copa now.

Can a player just leave if he wishes to?

City have put a lot of money in him, I mean, I'm sure Tevez can retire but he can't leave for free and then start playing for a new club (for as long as his contract would have run at City?).

He's been City's best player for the last 2 years. Those city fans that don't care aren't "fans." Hell, they don't understand football if they don't think this'll be a big blow to them.

Yea I agree. He signed a contract and he should honor it. And like I said earlier, if he ends up anywhere else besides Argentina he is full of shit on the whole trying to be closeer to the family bs.

The Tevez to Madrid ship has sailed. I think that if he was ever going to join us, it was back in January.
