LOL, he's bested us everywhere this season yet he's not gonna win La Liga. Ok. I'd congratulate Madrid on the win but I might get called butthurt given the direction of this thread. Although in a way I'm a bit glad this has happened because A. this just proves that everyone who bashed on Pep's "easy job" was dead wrong and B. Moudrid still won't win La Liga this season.

History books will remember that Barcelona looked so dominant at one point, that Real was lost far behind before Mourinho took over. And that not only Mourinho stopped Barcelona Liga run, but he also completely turned the balance for Madrid in the clasico.

Who thinks today that Barcelona is the undisputed best team in the world? Much less people than 2 years ago.

Real progressively getting the better of Barcelona in the countless clasico broke the superior image of that Barcelona team.

Guardiola quitting when overtaken by Real also adds to Mourinho legacy in Real.

Mou's legacy at real hinges on Tuesday night's game.

1 laliga and 1 copa in 3-4 years isnt enough to cement legendary status in Madrid's history books.

His recent wins over us are impressive, tbh, however it will all come tumbling down if he gets knocked out if the CL.

And it's all but a given, but Real haven't won the Copa yet. They knocked out Barca, which I understand is almost as good but this season is really the one that will define Mourinho's term as a real success or as just above average

Well we only sell you players we don't want anymore.But we take your best players off you on a regular basis.Fabergas,Hleb,Henry,Overmars,Song were all one of your best players when 'Big Daddy' Barca came calling.

Also Song was better for you last season than Carzola has been for you this season.Regardless of how much of a success he has been here,he was one of your best players but we took him off you because we wanted to.When we want a player we get him,simple as that.

Being loved by the fans and being used correctly by the club are two different things. Villa won't stay to be benched and used sporadically in cup games just because the fans adore him

It may not be just because the fans adore him. I'm sure actually competing for silverware also would have to do with him staying, IF he did. Or going to another club anyways.

Fair enough. You didn't specify in what way he was valued, I thought you were generalizing.

In truth, none of us know how Villa feels. I and many others want him to be a permanent fixture on the left and it's a shame he's not.

Was there a newspaper strike where you live over winter? Because it was widely reported that he was eagerly pushing for a move to us but was denied by Barca higher ups (for whatever reason)

He has enough trophies and medals, if he feels he can continue playing football at the highest level for another 3-4 years or so, but isn't getting a chance to do so, it's not crazy to assume he would sacrifice another league medal or trophy for the chance of playing regular football

its not impossible for atletico to win la liga though

they just have to win us too along barca, im pretty sure barca will slip up couple of more points
so all that needs to happen is a perfect atletico run

Relative to Barcelona's supposed dominance, one trophy out of a dozen is sub-par, and even that is a trophy where the other 18 teams competing are the footballing equivalents of rain man. Getting smashed out of two competitions by your fiercest rivals and a Milan side dubbed "one of the worst Milan teams ever" by their owns fans is just icing on my personal cake

I am saying you paid 40+M for a player you don't need, and has effected your game seriously, so basically look at it this way, Arsenal didn't win trophies with Fabregas and sold him for 40M and still not winning trophies, nothing changed they just gained 40M out of Barca, Barca on the other hand were winning trophies paid 40M for a player they don't need had to changed the system to fit this player, not winning anymore.

Who had the better deal? You answer this...
