LFC were very good. Coutinho is a beast of a player tbh. He was by far MOTM.

He was but he won't like nowhere near that good again, not even trying to look for excuses but the amount of space we gave their players was criminal.

Combination of bad performance/setup by Newcastle and intelligent play from Sturridge, Coutinho and Henderson. I think we earned the first 2-3. Everything after that should be taken with a pinch of salt. Newcastle were obviously broken by Sturridge's second.

Mole, wtf was Pardew doing by playing Sissoko on the right? His power and pace through the center could have given our back line serious issues. As you know, I was a little concerned by him prior to the match. I get that he's trying to play 3 in the center, with Perch and Tiote both looking to destroy any possession/momentum. However, that's was always a long shot. Why play to our game, and displace the exact kind of player that has hurt us recently... I don't understand.

I agree that if Pardew doesn't go after this season's performances, he may well see out his ridiculous contract.

P.S. How about those Rafa rumors? Anything to it? Would you want him?

He's been impressive everytime I've seen him tbf. Obviously today the fact NUFC were woeful made him even more good. But still....he was great.

Think is Perch and Tiote don't destroy and disrupt they just run round like headless chickens giving players ridiculous amount of space.... we have no midfield atm.

As for Sissoko he should be used as a b2b midfielder not a winger or freaking SS ffs.

From what ive seen,every pl team gives him this much space lol its amazing how teams dont close down technical players in england like they do in Spain and Italy, mainly Spain

The midfield is non existent and the defense is miles apart.

Any decent player with a brain would have looked good today.

He's a great talent but no other defence in the rest of his time in the PL will allow his so much space.

Same goes for Sturridge, i was actually laughing during the game although it did hurt me to do so.

Let's compromise: It's unlikely Coutinho will see that much space in a central role again, but in his wide attacking role he has consistently been able to find the space to perform at that level.
