Re: The TV Series Thread
There's not much reality to Top Gear, honestly.
And Face/Off is fun to watch just to see the crazy creations they make.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Psych is Great.Loved the premiere, second episode I'd give it 6.5 or 7/10 as it had some twists in it but I didnt really like it.
The 1st season isn't really good while the second and 3rd are really decent but their problem is they dont have enough drama except for the last episode in season three which is mind-blowing.
4th and 5th are Great, the sixth one let me down.
The great thing about Psych is that the jokes and the drama mixed together are just fantastic. I can’t believe there aren’t more shows on TV that really mix the two the way Psych does.

Re: The TV Series Thread
That is one of my issues with "Psych" vivabarca, sometimes the show is too comedic and there is not enough drama for me. It would be lovely if they could take a few pages from "Scrubs", a show they in my opinion masted the art of that (Modern Family also deserves a shout out when it comes to comedy and genuine moments that give me goosebumps). Maybe it is best that they (Psych) remain true to what they want to deliver, but I have had moments where I find the show is missing something.

Re: The TV Series Thread
THC,the reason for that is because Psych has loads and loads of female fans who are more than the male fans and they all post things on Facebook like,"Screw the drama and bring on the laughter," and things like that.
So thats why I think that has been happening.

Re: The TV Series Thread
I had no idea, thank you for letting me know. Without that knowledge, do you think you would have assumed "Phych" has more female fan? I had never stopped to think about it, although I am curious to know what is is that attracts the ladies (it must be Shawn Spencer )
I really love the chemistry between Dulé Hill and James Roday - I also think Roday gets on well with Timothy Omundson. I love the little clips (Psych Outs) they air at the end of episodes (not sure if they are doing that this season).

Re: The TV Series Thread
Love Psych. Great show. James Roday and Dule Hill are supremely talented actors. I had heard of Hill previously to this since he's a well known tap dancer, but had never heard of Roday, the role he plays in this show is pretty underrated.
I have White Collar in my Netflix queue. Weird enough, the fact that the main character's name is the same as mine has put me off a bit. I will eventually watch it though
I caught the first 2 episode of the History Channel's new miniseries the Bible as well.....pretty well acted, but if they're trying to sneakily convert people to Christianity, this is going to be a tough sell. I always knew the story of Abraham was odd, but this show made it seem wholly ridiculous and the man himself a crazed nut.
Finished Weeds this past week as well and I'm extremely sad to see it end. Wonderful show and so off beat.
Bout to watch the premier of the other History Channel series, Vikings. Heard great things about it so far.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Dule Hill played "sam the onion man" in Holes, there even a episode in Psych where they refer to his character i think
Just finished BBC's Bad Education, all i can say is Jack Whitehall . Just started watching Fresh Meat too and it's good to see Simon from inbetweener sorting out his love life again and Jack is amazing in it too

Re: The TV Series Thread
The premier of Vikings was pretty good, but it didn't blow me away. Then again, neither did the Tudors or the Borgias and both were Michael Hirst productions like this one so given how well both of those shows went on to be, this bodes well for Vikings.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Neal, I personally stopped watching "Weeds" after season 3 - the show was never very authentic and became quite ridiculous in my opinion. Keep in mind that I have some experience (directly or indirectly, I will not confirm which) with the business and have friends who felt the exact same way. So it is understandable to me why we might have gotten different experiences out of it. Nancy's characters is one that really turned me off to the show and I really disliked what they did with her character. Season 1 was the best (in my opinion) and I thought that losing Conrad was a very big loss for the show.
