True, but
Criminal Intent >> SVU though

Typical SVU episode for the past 10 years:

-Random girl raped/killed thrown in a dumpster
-Team of like 12 detectives all work 24/7 on this one case
-They check her cell phone, find last person to contact her/send her picture
-They use ridiculous minority report type computer to ultra zoom on picture, and find suspicious person
-Go through her online profiles to find out suspicious persons name
-Hack his account and find out where he posted it
-Follow him from his work and approach, suspect runs
-They arrest him and his DNA matches, he has the murder weapon, etc. Admits it when interview by Stabler
-Search his apartment and find more evidence
-Random celebrity appearance lawyer busts in and yells that the interrogation is over
-Suspect pleads not guilty, then gets off on a technicality or Stabler fcking up lol
-Murdered girls father ends up killing suspect in last scene

Repeat for enough episodes to fill a DVD, lol

Not too mention why is there so many shootouts in the police station, yet they never improve security Suspect

CSI is worse though, lol

Hells yeah.

Detective Goren is basically our Sherlock Holmes....there's not a lot that guy doesn't know about.....his attention to detail is immaculate when solving crimes.

personally, i pay more attention to Olivia Wink

Really? She ain't attractive to me at all. Nothing about her attracts me honestly.

Detective Eames is a bit more attractive...even if she is plain-looking. The hottest chicks on any law and order show are the ADAs....all of them are pretty freaking hot.

CSI New York is so unrealistic. The forensics team will spend all episode trying to figure out who did a crime using unrealistic technologies (like this video shows) and coming to outrageous conclusions that nobody could have deduced given the evidence they have. They will also single handily chase down all suspects in the process since they are all amazing athletes I guess. Then, when they figure out who did it, they will personally bust in guns blazing to take the person down; no need to tell the police to do it, or send in a SWAT team, because this small forensics squad can stop all criminals in the city. Also, did you ever see that 'Second Life' episode? It was downright painful. Mac chases the criminal through the Second Life video game - blatant, awful advertising.

I like the old Las Vegas episodes though.

CSI is one of my guilty pleasures. I watch it from time to time when there's nothing else to watch. It can be enjoyable if you just go along with how ridiculous it is.

With that said, the worst of the three main shows is Miami. The level of over-acting and unrealistic plot lines is far higher than those of their counter parts.

Haha yeahh, as you can tell from my analysis I still watch the show a lot despite not thinking too highly of it.

Miami is the worst for sure.

CSI Miami would be useless without David Caruso.

I used to watch the Vegas version up until William Peterson left the show. They replaced him with Lawrence Fishburn (sp.) who I cannot stand.

Same. It was one of my favorite shows up until around that point.

Any recommendations for a good comedy show? Some of the shows I tried aren't that funny and the jokes are easily predictable

Someone mentioned Its Always Sunny.., there's also: Curb Your Enthusiasm(creator of Seinfeld), Community, Parks & Recreation, Modern Family, Bored to Death, How To Make It America(the last 2 are more Dramadies), Eastbound and Down, Californication, Entourage is also funny but I wouldn't say it's a comedy.

My top 5 right now is probably
1. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
2. Curb Your Enthusiasm
3. Community
4. Eastbound and Down
5. Californication/Parks & Rec

Although I am only 2 episodes in but have enjoyed what I have seen so far.

DEXTER SEASON 6 PREMIERE!

Who's watching tonight?

I'm sure the first episode already leaked, but I'm going to wait until tonight to watch it.

Dexter is really good so far, the last episode in particular was great.

And Mos Def is actually a pretty good actor, can't recall anything I've seen him in before this but in his role in Dexter he's pretty solid.

And has anyone checked out the new Beavis and Butthead?? It's hilarious, it looks better obviously but besides that, it still has the same premise. And just as funny as it used to be.

Is it getting cancelled or just taken off the air for a while? Either way that sucks. From what I'm reading they'll show all 22 episodes of season 3 but there might not be a season 4.

NBC better not fvck with Parks and Rec

Nbc has put it on a hiatus

the problem with community is even though is a brilliant show, and those who watch it love it...there is no TV audience for it as many who know about this show watch it online...the recent episodes had one of the lowest rating for a show during that time.

here is good read on the Hiatus

My brother is telling me that "Community" or "Parks and Rec" might get cancelled to make way for "Whitney", if this really happens, I have no idea what the world is coming to. When I first saw the ads for "Whitney" I thought it was just a joke, I can't believe that's actually a TV show.

Haha, me too man, that sh1t looks terrible. If they take off Parks & Rec, I'll go crazy. They're already dropping Community to make room for 30 Rock(I'm not even a fan of that show).

I used to watch 30 rock on the regular, but I started to lose interest 2-3 seasons ago. I would be sad to lose "Community" or "Park and Rec", so many great characters and writing in both those shows.

Are you a fan on "Fringe"? Probably my top show at the moment.

We might have to do a Park and Rec character rating at some point, who would you put in your top 3?

Man NBC would really drop the ball if they are going with Whitney as their headliner. PArks and Rec is one of my favorite shows to watch.

Has anyone watched The Office this season? I'm a huge fan of the show but have been entirely disappointed with this season so far.

Nope, I'll have to check it out. It's on Fox right?

My top 3 characters are:
Ron Swanson(too many classic moments)
Tom Haverford
Andy/Jean-Ralphio(Tie, some people hate JR; I think he's hilarious Laughing He needs to have more screen time imo)
