AC Milan’s Robinho is close to finalizing a deal that will see him return to Santos this summer.

The Brazilian rose to stardom with the Brazilian club from 2002 to 2005. After stints with Real Madrid, Manchester City and most recently Milan, he is close to returning to his homeland.

Sky Sport are reporting that Santos made a €6 million bid for the 29-year-old on Friday, edging closer to the Rossoneri’s request of €8 million.

With the two sides closer than ever when it comes to the player’s valuation, it is expected that talks will continue until a resolution is met for both parties.

With Robinho out the door, the Rossoneri are expected to push even harder for Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez.

And I never suggested you did. I was merely pointing out that it would be foolish to assume that a player will automatically come in and improve a side... sometimes it doesn't work out even when expected to.

However, now that you ask comparing Lovren to Agger's boots would be offensive to me.

Lovren will shine. Kids class. Give him time to settle. Probably won't reach Agger's level but he will be good. Didn't have the greatest seasons with Lyon, but he does have the talent. 

With all that said, it seem's as if I got whooshed. I looked at Red's reply saying we signed a Scandinavian player in Vegard Forren from Molde. It seem's as if he's a Southampton player. 

Barcelona playmaker Cesc Fabregas has described speculation linking him with a move away from the Nou Camp as "absurd".



Fabregas has been in and out of the Barca first team following his return to the Catalan club from Arsenal in 2011 and that has led to reports that several Premier League clubs might try and tempt the Spain international back to England this summer.
However, the 26-year-old midfielder has been keen to stress he sees his future at Barca and re-iterated that stance in an interview with Marca.
He said: "I've always said that I'm happy at Barca. Whoever says that I'm leaving doesn't know me and has never spoken with me.
"Nor with my agent, because he knows that I don't want him to talk with other people about me. I'm very private and I don't even talk about these things with my family.
"If someone says anything that isn't that I want to play at Barca, it's completely absurd."

Great business for us. He was awful this season and got redcarded too often. He was one time excluded from the squad. But he has talent and potiential to succeed.

Lovren almost cost you CL single-handedly.  I would have let him go for close to nothing...  10 mil?  I would be throwing a party

Le 10 sport broke the Yanga-Mbiwa story before anyone.
