Mix of both really. They do a really good job of keeping things fresh while working towards each seasons end. Season 2 is the best.

at the start of justified that was what I hated, seemed like a new bad guy of the week, but it pretty much changes, most of the bad guys of the week in later seasons end up being linked to the overarching story of the season and it's not as frequent.

The biker lifestyle is definitely not my speed, but the innerworkings of that biker club are just mesmerizing to watch all the time.

Also,it's just a casual attitude he has. With the dangers he faces, you'd end up depressed if you took everything personally.

Not to mention it's his hometown and most of them are people he grew up with.

McAgger, though I've never watched the show, I'm curious about your complete exclusion of Mad Men from that list. For a show that is very highly rated, have you just not seen it, or do you not rate it at all?

If you read the end of my post on there, I say why I excluded Mad Men, Dexter, The Wire, The Shield, The Newsroom, etc.

And yes it is because I haven't seen more than a few episodes here and there.

Band of Brothers is the best TV series in history. Pls tell me you simply haven't seen it and that's why it was omitted from your list, McAgger. pls.

Haven't seen it Firenze. If I didn't include something, it's probably because I haven't seen it yet. Also nothing prior 2000.

I watch SOA, but I'm kind of over it because they kill the wrong characters.

One of Gemma, Clay, or Jax should of been dead by now. Being the show-runners wife Gemma is safe till the series finale. Clay could finally get what's coming to him, but admit it, he's the real star of the show. Jax started off so well, but has never really lived up to the promise of his character.

If they wanted me to actually invest myself into the characters one of the big three should die in the first episode. Otherwise, it's just a show I watch while I'm doing something else.

agree they've killed the wrong characters but can't agree to them killing off Jax. He's the main good guy. Clay is/was tha main antagonist.

GOAT "mini-series", I would rate it among some of my favorite television shows of all time, but I rate television shows by seasons and not as a whole.

The West Wing is still my favorite show of all time. I think I've watched every episode 5-10 times.

You could always bundle BoB with The Pacific..though I found that nowhere near as good.
