Re: wilfried bony signed for Swansea??
scored 40 goals in the dutch league last year, how do you think he is going to do at swans? they create a a lot of chances. i expect him to get 20+ goals imo

Re: wilfried bony signed for Swansea??
You have to consider that Dutch League is an extremely easy league to score in....
Jozy Altidore struggled last time he was in the PL and outright flopped in La Liga yet he tore Eredivisie apart.
Kezman and Alves both were the same and many more.
I wouldn't expect too much, but it is true Swansea create a lot of chances and he has to be better than Luke Moore surely

Re: wilfried bony signed for Swansea??
Absolutely horrible comparison to make on so very many levels, to be honest. Altidore was a completely different player at Villarreal and Hull than he was at AZ, and was never given proper support on the field or off of it at either club.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:You have to consider that Dutch League is an extremely easy league to score in....

A better comparison would be Bas Dost, and THAT comparison is exactly why I've avoided the Bony hype train.

My point was that rating strikers on their goal return in Holland is ill advised....
I see that went straight over your head though

Guys, biggest example isn't Bas Dost or Altidore to measure the ease of what it is to score in Eridivisie.
It is Graziano *bleep* Pelle. A Serie B flop who scored 27 goals in 25-27 games in the league.
Nice.

I think Bendtner can achieve his deserved world best title in Holland....
Nicklas_Bendtner#17: forever in the hearts of Juve fans, 1 relic jersey sold, no goal, no assist, no crossbar hit, yet in our hearts we know u were busy helping Chiellini cover up in defense, with your sublime passes you were helping deputize Pirlo

On a serious note though I think Swansea have strengthened greatly.
Shelvey, Bony, Jose Canas, and Amat will be big hits.
And good bench: Vorm/Tremmel, A.Williams, Britton, Routledge, de Guzman, Ki

No, it really didn't. Hence why I mentioned Bas Dost. However, your comparison in attempting to illustrate that point was poorly chosen and made simply so that you could get a quick shot in at a new Sunderland signing. Had you taken half a minute to actually CONSIDER how to make your point you'd have recognized the issues with your choice (moving to Eredivisie, age and temperament, treatment by clubs, etc). Don't let basic common logic get in your way though.

I give it it 3 months before Jonjo is a starter at Swansea, maybe even less.

Re: wilfried bony signed for Swansea??
Bony was a tier above the rest of the league. He is the real deal. He'll score 20+ goals next year in all comps if he can stay injury free. It will be interesting to see if he can play with Michu.
I give it around the same time if he stays away from injuries. He only needs a run of 2-3 games to get into the starting XI. He barely played in 20 games in the PL under Rodgers, Kenny and the Owl. And most of those weren't even starts. Not too sure why everyone was writing him off. [Not to say you were.]

Shelvey is too good of a player to not be a starter.. especially for a club like Swansea.
