Fred flopped because he couldn't outplay a 18 year old kid. He scored 20 goals his first season where was good and then 15 in his second year when Benz came in late in the season and took games from him. After that, Benz pushed him out.

Funny thing is that Fred has a better CL record than Higuain... 6 goals in 21 games.

Also RVN's last year where he scored 20 goals with Madrid was 2007-2008.... after that, it was 10 or less. Raul played SS, which was perfect for Higuain.

Again, come on dude, stop making excuses for the guy. I think he's good. But he's nowhere near Cavani or Falcao. He could get there... next 2 years will be key.

There's no doubt in my mind that Higuain has the ability to be a true top shelf striker. I don't think he can be as good as Cavani or Falcao simply because those two are fantastic in the air as well. He would have to outdo those two with other aspects to make up that part...

In any case, 40 mil is excessive by Madrid. 30-35 mil is reasonable imo. But i think it's a negotiating ploy and a good one... Napoli are bastards when they negotiate. Madrid is just giving them a taste of their own stuff. In the end, you'll see 33 mil + 5 in bonuses imo.

I dont understand how you can praise Txiki really.Man City have made good choices compared to their previous retarded choices but have literally overpaid for all three players they've bought in who in my book are all tier 2 players.I mean none of them are barely WC in their position.

I suppose you could say they have the money so it doesnt matter but if you are going rate the Sporting Director on the business he's done so far it seems an average at best job to me.

Higuain's value goes up with the lack of viable options left tbh

Negredo going that price etc I can understand Madrid holding out for 40, I can totally see Napoli offering that too.

Dzeko is legit. Could still tear it up for top clubs but it seems he's staying put.

As far as City's signings..well last season they tried the sensible approach..(kinda? Garcia and Rodwell still went for hefty sums IMO) and it didn't work, so I'm not surprised they're back to their free spending and getting their targets early
