If we are to get a CL spot this year, we NEED to be winning games like this. The competition intensified and as such we need to up our game significantly

there are always 3-4 players who always let the team down, i am expecting similar things .. players like el sharawwy or balotelli will bail out this team ...

well.. verona deserved win .. no question about it... they played as a team... great determined performance.

Albertazzi was boss...Always hyped him.

That was just horrible. The ref didn't do much to help us but the team itself didn't do anything either. Crappy defending and a non existent midfield for the most part.

Also, Niang is just not ready yet. He can be a super-sub and provide an injection of energy and pace in the last minutes, but from the start, he is just wasteful and ineffective.

Seriously guys don't make Noc the scape goat he was just as bad as everyone else...Montolivo played horribly and Constant shouldn't touch the field again.

Montolivo was sub-par as well, but there were some moments in the game where I honestly forgot he was even on the field. I am, by no means, saying that it's all his fault. Like I said, the whole defence was crap and only Poli was performing in the midfield. I don't know why Nocerino started over NDJ though. Especially given how De Jong has arguably been our best player in pre-season. The only reason I can think of is to rest him for the CL. And we payed for that.

Nearly everyone sucked. This was depressing.

I see that a lot of people are disappointed with this game. I am not much because i expected us to play like this. We can't do anything with this squad. We need new players and new system. 4-3-3 is not working. Allegri need to change something and Galliani need to change a lot of things.

I think its too early to panic and predict doom right now. It's just one game. We have our weaknesses, sure. But this is the same team as the one in the second half of last season, with the addition of Poli and the return of NDJ. If we can sign a CB (i.e. Sakho) that would be great! Honda would also be a welcome addition, but CSKA are asking crazy money, so that can wait till January.

This is one of those games where it looks like Allegri has done absolutely zero with this team. The players were all over the place, and were countered to death all the time. It was like we were playing against Chelskie or Dortmund ffs.

Once again, Allegri waiting longer than anyoone with his stubborn subs. Niang was back to his good self. God how depressing this was. 4-3-3 with not good enough wingers gl hf

absolutely bro. was pissed off nocerino tends to think himself as a bloody winger. he did absolutely nothing to track back, in fact i saw couple of times el sharawwy doing nocerino's work.

then allegri had no clear idea how to make their players maintain their position and not get caught out in counterattack if one goes forward someone has to cover him, example when poli was pushing.

only poli played beautifully.. no nonsense football. actually the whole game poli didnt even miss pass, or kept his nerves to control the ball and hold possession of it, than montolivo. monto sucked so bad today. i would give him have given him 0 rating, if not for spreading passes. he was loosing ball all the time or mispassing.

with el sharawwy, i remember allegri saying to him not to limit himself to only left side and constantly move from left to right or center to draw defenders or to be in space for himself to be in dangerous position, thats why he was so bright in PSV game or in pre season. he forgot that too. allegri should have told him that because i didnt see el sharawwy playing a bit freely. he seemed to just limit himself to left side of the flank.

even if balotelli messed up, i still think balotelli helped a lot in attack than niang.

the biggest problem was being caught out in counterattack like eiviindo said,

Albertazzi is co-owned between us and Verona. He is naturally a CB.

I liked Albertazzi even when he was still at Milan. He was great in Italia's youth setup. Even though he is naturally a CB, he is also a very good LB and has played in that position throughout his career.

Albertazzi....Seriously after all the years I hyped him on this forum and in the Goal.com forum now after one game versus Milan you guys start talking?

Albertazzi had a great U20 World Cup I remember, that's when his hype was highest. After that he had some underwhelming loan spells at Serie B and Getafe, hope he grows to be a good player, he always had great potential.
