Pogba: 'I want Champions League'
By Football Italia staff
Paul Pogba took defeat to Barcelona badly, but the Juventus midfielder still “hopes to win the Champions League one day.”
The 22-year-old had strong penalty appeals during the 3-1 loss in Berlin on Saturday night.
“It hurts to lose, especially as it was my first Final,” he told Canal+ when arriving for international duty with France.
“We were confident and we could’ve won the match. We were able to equalise and when it was 1-1 there should’ve been a penalty for the foul on me, but the referee didn’t spot it.
“Compliments to the Spaniards, they deserved it. I learned from the experience. I had a good look at the trophy and hope to win the Champions League one day.”
Barcelona confirmed their interest in signing Pogba, but he shrugged off the question.
“I am so sick at the defeat that I’m not thinking about any of that stuff. I had a little rest and now there is France.”
-
I am really little angry at him this is the first time he avoids to confirm he is staying in Juve and that he wants to win CL, it turns out like he thinks we can't win in recent future and its disrespect in my eyes.

I think we should let him go as to take our level to the next step and avoid all this talking of him leaving all the time. In theory he could get us Veratti and Cavani and that would be more valuable to Juve at this moment. In any case we really are still missing that unpredictable up front and Pogba could found a De bryne, Mata, oscar or someone else we could even get Aguero and stuff for his sale.

Lol yeah, if he did then lots of controversy will be created There is nothing more you can do, but what you did was great. He needs to see that we want him to stay instead of following that fatface...

Does anyone know if Pogba ever helped out with charity or something like that? All I found was that he wanted to help out in Africa in the future.

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
Interesting tidbit from French rumor mil... Pogba has an understanding with Juve that, if the club reaches the semis of CL this season, his wage would be bumped up to market rates and he would stay on at Juve. He likes it very very very much at Turin and appreciates that the team is being built around him. Wants to try and make it work long term.
i hope so. The situation is ideal at Juve for him right now. I see no reason he should leave.

I too don't think he'll leave, I think he loves it that the team is built around him, and Nedved has great relationship with Raiola.

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
It would be a much bigger achievement for him to win as the centerpiece at Juve than to be a cog in teams like madrid or barca... he can always make that move if things don't work out at Juve.
Although i'm annoyed with the transfers this summer by Juve (could have done much much much better for the same money), i still think the team has a lot of potential ASSUMING the old players don't suddenly play like old players.

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
Which are those transfers ?
I only find the Zaza purchase questionable.
The rest have been pretty good in my opinion considering our finances.
Dybala for example is an elite talent. Not a lot of people know about him or hype him enough because he plays in Serie a.
Rugani in my opinion is a great defender in the making but I hope he gets enough chances to prove himself here.

Would have been happy if we never sold Vidal, if we don't bring in at least one talented player who's not just to make up the numbers i'll be pissed.

you need another midfielder badly... and no, Khedira doesn't count lol. You can't unbalance the team. Let Madrid be your model regarding what NOT to do lol.

Mandzukic will bang in the goals he was a fantastic signing with a good physical presence. I somehow think or hope we will end up with Nasri, all I no is we need to move fast to secure our cam or we are going to struggle to keep ahold of our best players come the end of next season when we finish 2nd or 3rd and barely make it out of the group for champions league.. I hope Marotta has something up his sleave

You are doomed if you sign Nasri... you already have Llorente. Mandzu is exactly like him, no better no worse.

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
Mandzu is infinitely more mobile and energetic
If you actually watched Llorente under us especially last season, he is a tree. He could barely trap a ball or make a 3 yard pass and despite once being regarded as one of THE GOATs in the air, his heading and positioning went to shit.

What's wrong with Nasri? also mandzukic and llorente shouldn't be a fair comparison llorente is about 100 times slower and besides we also have zaza, morata and dybala all 3 attackers are very much different in style so it means he have options up front only a good thing!

Nasri? He has no depth of vision. About all he's good at is dribble inside and make passes within 10-15 feet. His work rate is also very suspect... not to mention a bad attitude and overinflated ego.
The guy is only useful on the wing. Useless as a CM or AM.

Valbuena is 10x the creator that Nasri is... if you wanted that kind of player, Valbuena was a much better choice.

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
Mandzukic has international pedigree.Scored against some of the biggest teams in Europe. He has consistently scored 20+ goal in the last few years.
Way better than Llorente in almost every aspect. You are underestimating just how poor Llorente was for us last season.Amauri level crapiness.
He's a very good stopgap signing.
If PSG were willing to sell Cavani for €40m and if he accepted to take a paycut to come here, I'm sure we would've pulled the trigger but that's a very unrealistic scenario or from Marotta's own words, it's utopian concept.

Huge overreaction on your part.
Ffs Calma.
Did you read Marotta and Allegri's interview yesterday ?
Both said the SAME THING..
'We will only buy a midfielder if we think he's worthy of Juve/Juve quality'
Just chill.Nasri is not Juventus material. No need to sign players just to make up the numbers.

Ok fair enough so i hope that doesn't mean we go into the season with morata/dybala playing behind mandzukic side isn't gonna be balanced enough in my opinion. if we have to see another season of a 3-5-2 it's gonna be painful to watch lol

Re: - Il Polpo Paul | Paul Pogba
You guys didn't watch Mandzu last season... he looked like a traffic pole at Atleti which is why he got benched and they signed Torres as an emergency measure. He really reminded me of Llorente in that in the span of 2 years he went from being decently mobile targetman at Bayern to becoming slower in his last year at Bayern and then concrete feet at Atleti. He couldn't make a pass to save his life either. He could only pass with his head, not his feet lol.
Maybe he rebounds at Juve.
