FIFA 14 PS4 Pro Clubs

MT you have to stop wishing things were different and adapt to how they actually are. The game isn't going to change for you, use some new tactics and perhaps you will see improvements.

All I know is every time we play clubs, if you leave opposition attackers to their own devices they will abuse OTT through balls

If you have a quick but strong pro, and track their runs they often panic and don't know what to do

It worked great for us on ps3. The downside is, whoever plays that role is doing a boring and thankless job. It's mind numbing after a few games and I even enjoy defending.

I guess I figure it's best to play at CB if you want to track runs - our any would set his boy to defend if we had 2-3 other members online. Amar used to run CDM for us and I really liked how he played the position...I think his style makes it more fun for the user and involves more balance in terms of offensive and defensive responsibilities. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your focus seems primarily on defense when you play CDM.

P.S. You know I respect you as a Fifa player, just letting you know how I go about applying tactics.

I find it way easier to defend on this next gen fifa, it almost seems like the defenders auto tackle if you sit back and let players run at you and track them. on PS3 it was all about pressing. (Though I haven't been ANY and controlled the scrubs they give you, so..)

I'd try ANY but I know MT will get bored and start taking shots from ridiculous angles. Not that bothered if I have to wait until FIFA 15 for you guys lol.

Nah I'm fine with winning/getting results, it's just a few things need to improve to make it more realistic and overall easier.

Especially on clubs where every team can auto high pressure without the user even doing anything. Then you have pros who sprint up and down the pitch for 90 mins trying to tackle you. CB's who can't control the ball, leading to goals etc.

Isn't high pressure controlled via team mentality (flicking the D-Pad to the left or right and moving the D-Pad up and down). As far as pros running up and down the pitch for 90 minutes, that's just an exaggeration. If I don't let go of sprint for the whole match, I will tweak my hamstring. As a pro I try to make intelligent runs, or I move into an open space so that my any/players can find me.

I've noticed from some videos that you don't struggle to win, but I've always read what some of your teammates have said about you. Based on your last post, it seems like you want the game to be built for MT

Don't get me wrong, I have my issues with the game...mainly the amount of times I tackle the ball and it still goes back to the opposition. But outside of that (and the ref being bias), I don't really have many complaints.

Nah, players auto high pressure without the user doing anything in FIFA 14. It's different to previous FIFA's, where you could only press like that if you were losing and went to ultra attacking.

I don't seem to have that issue. Have you tried using a more defensive setting? That should allow your team to sit back and not press as much. You could also tweak with custom tactics, there is an option for pressure there.

Yeh I don't have a problem with my players pressing/sitting back etc, it's the opposition teams that auto high pressure. I'll try and record an example next time I play.

No doubt...I'll keep an eye on that the next time I play. Any way, I've seen some of your clips and it's seems your play style is suited to counter that type of pressure.

Does it just bug you because it's not realistic to how most teams play?

Yeh I can handle the auto pressing, it's just I find it unrealistic that every single team can do it.

Might try the ethernet cable again, lag spikes are getting worse.

Yeh soon, although the games might be laggy though. With ethernet cable there's no lag but the router internet light turns orange occasionally and then I disconnect.
