Jose Mourinho: I Don't Respect Wenger's Past

Just two of the now plethora of insults the Portuguese boss hurled at Wenger

For some perspective, this is what Wenger said that 'instigated' Mourinho's first attack:

on why every other manager says they are not contenders…
"It's fear to fail."

on what he means by fear of failure…
If you're not in the race you cannot lose it, if you declare yourself not in the race you cannot lose it, it's as simple as that. So he wasn't specifically calling any one manager out, Pellegrini and Rodgers have both played down their title chances as well.

But Mourinho responded in a way that was described by Bob Wilson as "Disrespectful at best, despicable at worst"

"But the reality is he's a specialist because, eight years without a piece of silverware, that's failure. If I did that in Chelsea I'd leave and not come back."

After drawing a wave of criticism and before a shut-down FA Cup loss vs City he felt the need to respond: "When he says that I am afraid of failure he is not respecting my past and because he does not respect this I do not respect his past.

"That’s my answer. It’s an answer that doesn’t make me happy, but an answer that I think he deserves."

I honestly don't remember him being such a profoundly butthurt individual but he's been gone for a while or maybe there's something else I'm missing because this is a shameful low, even for the Deluded One.

Mourinho is lauded as a genius when he beats City 1-0 and quietly brushes it off his shoulder when they have TWO shots that are off target their entire match vs City as they lose, meanwhile Wenger's legacy is supposedly on the line every match?

^that's true. He got the attention he wanted but he took it too far in this instance. His "mind games" haven't worked once this season. Every time he says something controversial Chelsea play badly.
