How good is neymar?

hmmmmm, maybe its just his first season, but to me he isnt there. he looks weak and easy to deal with, not worth the price tag atm.

Like CBarca said, he was arguably our best player until he got injured. But since he came back, he has not been the same..

Exactly, where was this thread when he was ripping apart before his injury lol?

He's been great majority of this season, all tho the past two games he's had 3-4 good scoring chance he let slip, but he's been solid at least for his first season in Europe and at a new club.

Like I said in the chat, not worth the hype he gets. But still a very good player.

Love watching him play.

But, he really needs to work on his finishing.

doesnt mean he has been worth the price tag/trouble lol. do you think he has reached his ceiling or something? this is his best?

not going to lie, i havent seen him all that much, im not a barca fan, i dont have time to watch him, but i just see him in big games. Again never have i said he is a bad player, but i think he isnt there yet, or am i wrong?

If he continues this from for a few more weeks then the questions should he asked. Give him a break.

He can and will definitely improve. He has infinite potential and is still young.

I don't know what "isn't there yet" means. No he hasn't reached his potential- that's a major compliment to the talent the boy has, really.

As for justifying the price tag- it's not even all the way through his first year. If he gives us this level of performance (and higher hopefully as he grows and matures and gets even better), he'll be well worth it. Gives Barca another dimension on attack when he's playing his game.

Yes, he's been a bit off-key since injury, but I'm willing to give him a break, he's been consistently fantastic until now.

Anyway, you asked how good he is- my answer is he's been Barca's best player this season. He's very good.

Not as good as Hazard but apart from him there isn't a single better player in his age group.

He's the worst player since Carlton Palmer.

About his finishing i don't think he genuinely needs to work on it.

For Brazil his finishing is great but for Barca for some baffling reason his finishing looks timid i don't get it....

Its not like he can't finish as he's proven at international level that he can, just needs to translate to his club.

it's confidence, he doesnt yet feel the same in barca as he does with brazil. pressure and expectation are certainly not the same but confidence is a huge part for attackers like neymar who rely on their goalscoring. it's not there yet. When he is with brazil, he can score from his own half if he wants.

Also about Neymar being good or what ever CB has basically said it all but i will say this.

It's very possible he could have a 20-20 season in all competitions, how many players are going to do that assuming he does?

And i doubt Barca fans would be unhappy with that.

I said this before, only expect Brazil's Nerman when he is playing as false 9 because you wont see him tearing teams apart and scoring hattricks playing as a winger/second fiddle to messi.

tbh today he played on RW instead of his usual LW, did well by providing passes and was also denied a goal because of the blind linesman.

The question is : will Neymar be the 2nd best footballer in the world (i.e after Cristiano Ronaldo) after the World Cup in Brazil ?
