Arsenal Vs Newcastle
Emirates Stadium
Monday 28th April; 20:00 BST Kick Off
The Last Ride
Well, there is not much to talk about now. With Southampton's win against Everton, Arsenal are a point above them while with a game in hand which we play tomorrow at home against Newcastle. Had Everton won, then perhaps we would have been more nervous going in tomorrow or there would be more talking points but as of now there are 3 games to go which we should win them all fingers crossed and that would lead to the end of season. I suppose that's the point we are all waiting for. FA Cup final will be the date which every gunner is looking to. Specially after the season we have had in terms of Premier League, it would genuinely be nice to finish off this season with some silverware.
Therefore, now is just the time to watch Arsenal for the last few times before next season. And let's hope there are no more twists from our end at least.
Newcastle
Newcastle have had an average season. They looked decent in the first half of the season however the 2nd half has been quite bad in many ways. The players have given up on the season. The manager seems to be lost while the owner is somewhere in between. I don't think Newcastle have any reason to fight tomorrow. But that is not saying that they won't try, they most likely will give us a game but they are at the point where they just want the season to be over. A feeling we share in some ways but theirs is fully based on negativity. My point is that there is no reason we should not be winning tomorrow night.
Team News
For Arsenal, captain Thomas Vermaelen is set to return from a hamstring problem. Abou Diaby has recovered from his serious knee injury but has picked up a minor groin problem so will miss Monday's game.
Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who has missed three games with a hamstring problem, should feature. Strikers Papiss Cisse (knee) and Luuk de Jong (ankle) have been ruled out and Hatem Ben Arfa has also confirmed he will not be involved.

Re: Arsenal Vs Newcastle
Hoping for another goal frenzy like last season.
We really should be going out all guns blazing and look for the early goal because that would extinguish any hope that Newcastle might garner throughout the match the longer it stays at 0-0 and also The Emirates won't get their usual jitters like it does the longer it stays at 0-0.
Form and on paper says this is so easy and I really hope it will be.
Come on Arsenal!

Re: Arsenal Vs Newcastle
^Scoring early goals is something huge we've been missing this season. Most of ours have been in the second half and that's affected our ability to comeback when faced with setbacks. Last year, I think we had one of the highest, if not the highest, amount of points recovered.
Look at Liverpool, only twice have they been denied a first half goal this season (vs us and Chelsea). So, as El said, let's hope we go all in right out the gates.

Nice Work RG.
I dont care much about scoring just as long as we win, hope its a fun game and we dont get disappointed. We win today and top4 is ours and its sad tough we had to fight Everton for top4.
-------------Szczesny
Sagna – Mertesacker – Koscielny – Monreal
-----------Arteta – Ramsey
Cazorla – ------------Özil – ---------Podolski
---------------Giroud

Thanks Mole, I am glad we got home court advantage back. This year NBA has been one of the best playoffs as long as I remember.
As for our game today, we really need to win so we can rest some players for the FA Cup final.
I just hope you guys wont park bus and make it a miserable night.

I just hope we save the celebration for the Finals.
I hope we never celebrate 4th place trophy ever again.

Still cringe at those pics. Imagine we win the Final and the players don't even lose it, they just casually applaud with the fans and pat each other on the back. I would lose my sh*t.
