Terrible show. Absolutely terrible. Watchable, yes, but terrible in every sense. Shit acting. Shit dialogues. Shit cinematography. Shit budget. Shit plot. Shit directors. Shit character development.

to be fair they don't have time for all that stuff with all the fighting, drinking, eating and copulating they do, Mcagger. I enjoy the show, it passes the time, not elite, but it's decent.

I tried a few episodes and it was unbearable.
Then again, I did the same with Game of Thrones and thought the same, so maybe my opinion isn't the most popular one.

Definitely.
Season 3 was very good. Great characters all around even if some cheesy at times. Ragnar/Lagertha/Aethelstan are the best.

I have started watching and I love it. I dont get the criticism.
Yes, the character development could be better but more than makes up with the imagery.
The Pagan and Christian imagery is spellbinding at times.
And the soundtracks are also GOAT level(season 2 episode 8 soundtrack is my favorite).

It started off as a pure viking show, then it evolved some way and got a kinda GoT-esque feeling to it.
Still a fantastic show though and I'm looking forward to next season.
Ragnar's and Floki's acting is immaculate IMO.

I have been able to look past the somewhat weak characters and acting. I will say it's pretty infuriating to see Loki get soany 2nd chances though, and other like nonsensical decisions.

- Really interested to see how this show looks with it sped up in time. Not sure I like it, but it changes the dynamic quite a bit. As this is a Michael Hirst production, not at all surprised to see Jonathan Rhys Meyers join the cast. That was always a good bet.
