mancini also built the entire squad that pellegrini used this year to win rofl

thanks for the info

lol Mancini came in with nothing, and had to build the squad

Pellegrini had a ready made championship contender

you using Mancini's need for 3 years to win the title to justify a manager of the year selection for Pellegrini is hilarious

I can only presume someone is having a laugh claiming Mark Hughes should be in with a shout.

I really don't understand the logic behind given the award to someone who wasn't even in work till late December lol.

For me its the same farce as giving Giggs the player of the year when he played 15 games.

Meh, if you want to look at it that way then fine. But another way of looking at it, is he has less time to make an impact, yet made a huge impact anyway

Look at the competition.

Rodgers - fair shout.

Pelle - Barely done what he was expected to. Nothing more.

Martinez - Done ok. Nothing special

Wenger - Arsenal once again collapsed to 4th place despite a huge amount of time on top

Pulis is a completely fair and just decision

Yep

The 2nd award is based on the resources I think. Pellegrini wasn't even on the shortlist

I suppose that means they have awards for all of the leagues and cup competitions then as well? Who won all of those?

I know Nigel Clough won the FA Cup award.

Don't care he's been relevant for 2-3 months max.

It would be like giving Ramsey player of the year because he was the best player before his injury.

The only reason people are fine with it is because its an indifferent manager doing it for a small club, if a manager came in February and won a team the league with the final 3 months there would be nowhere near the calls to be nominated.

Personally i think its stupid, Season is August to May not Late Jan/EarlyFebruary to May.

Pulis was appointed in November, that's 7 months, not 3 months that you mention all the time lol

ffs Palace had 4 points in total until Pulis arrived

So Pulis is being criticised for making a huge impact in a smaller timeframe than the other managers?

Lol.

Person A scored 20 goals in 38 games

Person B scores 20 goals in 19 games.

Person A is better, because he achieved the same number of goals during a much longer period of time

Dat dere logic

On rawk:

It's announced Pulis wins LMA PL Manager of the Year

"Who gives a *bleep* about some shitty award?"

5 mins later it's announced that actually Rodgers has won the main LMA Manager of the Year award.

"Oh GTFI, great achievement. probably one of the most telling achievements a manager can get"

Pulis? Really? Doesn't this happen quite often that a relegation fodder team somehow rallies all its energy and strings together a great run of form to stay safe? Take Rayo Vallecano in La Liga for example. After 27 games only 26 points. Second last in the table. Then in their last 10 games, 5 wins and 2 draws. Making it into exactly the same position as Palace (11th). Only difference - no change in the coaching department, so it can't be attributed to a new saviour as Rayo simply continued playing exactly the same way as always.

Rodgers was the only standout managers in terms of style, expectations and results. Then Pochettino. Then no one.
