Re: Barclay's Premier League off-season discussion
Why did Arsenal make 5 subs ?
Isn't Community Shield a proper, standard game ?

So what's the deal with Aguero, was he simply rested or unfit to even be on the bench?

No surprises. They only sell out when they play United.
We call them Emptyhad for a reason.

Re: Barclay's Premier League off-season discussion
To be fair to Man City fans (and this is me at my most generous here) the trip from North London to Wembley is a trifle shorter than from Manchester to Wembley. Still though, Charity Shield tickets were relatively cheap and there's no reason not to travel to see your beloved club play. My brother traveled from London to Manchester to watch Gary Neville's testimonial game

bah Gawd, Arsenal Just woke up to see the soreline as 3-0. must watch the highlights. Looks like Arsenal are going to surprise all Citeh and Chelski fappers by winning EPL in this season, or at least coming very mighty close

wtf is wrong with what I said, I saw some extended highlights and the way everyone played yday was just amazing...just that striker thing but as I read somewhere, Alexis can also fill up there so they have a great chance!!!

We played the second half with a 19 year old who played RB last season and our second choice LB playing as a LCB. We have 2 starting CBs, one of whom picked up an injury yesterday and the other only just returned today for preseason.
Borrowing this from arseblog, but sums it up very damn well:
Oh did I mention those 30 something slowpokes we have anchoring our midfield, who were exposed and had their backsides creamed, roasted and handed to them in multiple big games last season?

Yesterday was a preseason game, a glorified one at that. Both teams had sufficient key personnel missing. Can hardly draw any league conclusion based on one game ffs!
Also, stay safe

I thought CS is not just a friendly game...last season you missed on better points, just because few players were injured so I am sure you will still come better than last year; just have to manage those H2H results with top teams. Yes, you do need to sign CB and I think you guys will.

It's a long season, let's see how it unfolds. I don't have grandiose expectations from it. Another FA Cup, CL Semi and a top 2 finish would already be a HUGE season.
(I don't particularly care about League Cup, but it could be a very good opportunity for a lot of players who'll be looking for games to stay fit or rotate - especially in midfield and attack).
