Main reason Metaknight is broken is because he's the only character that plays like a Melee character.

Did you watch the tournament at E3? i think you can put those fears to rest tbh.

P.S WTF did I just play? I thought I had bought Tomb Raider, not bloody Uncharted. Why was I killing hundreds of faceless mooks instead of, you know, raiding Tombs? Why the hell did the devs have Lara act all weak and scared in cutscenes, but then have her go all kamikaze instead of employing stealth? Where was this supposed "good" story we were promised? It was shit.

The supporting cast was bland as hell, and they were used purely as a means to try and justify Lara's transformation into a mass murderer, in order for her to join the ranks of fellow mass murderers like Drake, Booker DeWitt and Kratos.

The game had Bioshock Infinites major problem, being a shooter when it should have been an adventure game. Don't even get me started on the bullshit QTE's that were everywhere in the game, I didn't feel as if I was playing a game at all, control was constantly taken away from me for stupid cutscenes.

Crystal Dynamics, give me back the real Lara Croft for the next game please, not this mass murderer. Oh, one last thing, make the game about bloody tombs. Oh, btw, it was nice to let me use the iconic double pistols, even if it was right at the end and only for a few seconds.   

I'm sick and tired of developers trying to make games into movies. Just stop, it's stupid and boring.

Unfortunately this is a new trend in video games, they think if they don't add action scenes to the games it won't sell, the result is that they gain the attention of kids and COD players at the cost of losing core followers of the series.

Many game series has been ruined because of this issue. Splinter Cell, Dead Space, Resident Evil, Hitman Absolution, just a few examples on the top of my mind.

The thing is though, the game actually started off well, apart from the constant QTE's. It felt adventurous, there were some good puzzles and you didn't fight that many enemies, then half way through the game it suddenly turned into some Micheal Bay bullshit.

Waves of enemies coming towards you, explosions everywhere, loads of action sequences where control was taken away from and their only purpose was to look cool. I have no idea what happened, it's like two different developers made the game

Honestly, I hope in the sequel they just go back to the roots, this Micheal Bay mentality is killing games. It would be fine if that was how the series started out as, but established franchises changing the fundamental mechanics of their games, mechanics which made them popular in the first place, for some Expendables like action sequences is stupid.

Splinter Cell Blacklist went back to it's roots. You could play it like Conviction or you could play it like classic Splinter Cell or even go full assault, the choice is yours. Blacklist is the true sequel to Chaos Theory.

I was talking about Conviction which was in no way like a Splinter Cell game.

I still haven't played Blacklist so can't give a comment on that.

Blacklist is one of the best stealth games of it's generation. You should play it if you are a Splinter Cell fan. Main campaign is short though.

Sony Pictures is developing a brand new movie called Pixels, that brings together a whole host of iconic video game characters for the first time ever. These include; PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Galaga, Frogger, Q*bert, and Space Invaders. The film is an action comedy starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, and Brian Cox, and directed by Chris Columbus.

There will also be appearances of games such as Asteroids, Breakout, Missile Command, Galaga, Dig Dug, Joust, Defender, Robotron and Wizard of Wor.

In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ’80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Dinklage and Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.

The film’s director, Chris Columbus, said:

There would be no way to make the movie without these legendary characters – they are as important to the film as the roles that Adam, Kevin, Michelle, Peter, Josh, and Brian are playing. It was a real thrill to see everything come together exactly as we envisioned it, and we’re grateful to have all of these fantastic companies on board.

The film will be released on May 15, 2015.

What are people's opinions on the Destiny Beta?

Story and co-op seemed ok, but the multiplayer sucks, it's just not fun. Feels like Reach but worse.

The multiplayer just doesn't measure up to the likes of Titanfall or even to old school Halo. It feels like your moving through molasses and none of the guns feel that great.

Even the story seems like a pale shadow of Halo. Where are my big vehicle battles like in Halo?

I was really expecting to like this game but so far it's pretty disappointing.

I love the visuals though.

There's nothing wrong in making a decision about a game based on it's beta, especially on beta's these days which take place a month to a month and a half before the actual game comes out. The beta will be very representative of how the actual game will play. There will obviously be a lot more maps, weapons and perks in the main game, but it'll look and play a lot like the beta.

In fact, I'm going to use the proper label for them, demos, because that's what they actually are. Devs just use the word "beta" so that if it becomes a buggy mess they can justify it., sure, the "beta's" are used for load and netcode test's, as far as the actual games goes, they aren't even remotely 'beta's'.

If the Destiny "beta", came out 3-6 months before release I would agree with your point, but with release a month and a half away? Nope. The game is going to go gold in a couple of weeks, graphics and gameplay are not going to do some magical U turn in that time. All I'll get for paying £45 will be an expanded version of the same shit I'm playing now.

I've been burnt before due to naivety on how this whole "beta" process actually works, and I won't be burnt again.

Haven't played Uncharted single player since I finished 3.

So most of UC1 and half of UC2 is forgotten in my head and even a fair bit of 3.
