Now really, who the *bleep* does Kroos think he is?

He was a nobody when he joined us, a 'talented' teenager. Everything he is is because of FC Bayeern, and without us he will be nothing again.

The careers of far greater players than him have been dented by an ill-advised move to Real.

He isn't as great as he thinks, the arrogant prick. In fact, him getting injured against Juve was a blessing in disguise. With him starting we probably wouldn't have won the CL.

Scrub.

Hans, calma. When the only coach in the world who would start a lineup with 11 midfielders if he could doesn't fight to keep Kroos you know he ain't worth it. There is nothing Kroos excells in. He doesn't beat his marker or advance the ball and create space via close control dribbling, his final ball is average, he isn't particularly physical or fast, he gets praised for his long shots although he only scored 3 goals in 46 games this season. You ain't losing anything except someone who can make save passes. Kroos is one of those players who does a job in big teams and is mistaken to be a world class player because of it. Fits Madrid perfectly. :coffee:

No, not to be as good as Messi. You shouldnt know that wasnt the question.

But simply be the best player on a team the level Guardiola is looking for.

ofc i dont think he does. He has neither the personality nor the latent, or at least, he is too young for that. And it's a process, it doesnt happen overnight. we often forget that it took couple of years to messi to transition from the wing to the middle.

So seeing as Gotze can hardly hold a starting position, and the short term nature of coaching, he cant.

If we had any knowledge in the market at all we'd swoop in for Gotze, Kroos and Reus. :S

100m budget+ (that includes Suarez money) and we're monitoring Bertrand, Lovren and Sanchez (who is good but a lot of reports saying he's not interested at all so why are we wasting our time?) as well as signing the likse of Lallana for 25m....

Just felt the need to say that.

The mans overrated. I can see why LVG ruined moyes hardwork by vetoing he deal.
Looking at Germany confirms to me what his detractors say. Germany are just so slow using possession with him in the side. This leaves us with a clear run at Vidal now so all in all I'm ecstatic with this transfer.

Smart career move making the step up to Madrid. Even smarter to avoid the huge step down to United.

We turned him down buddy
He hasn't got what it takes defensively to play the alonso role, he's best at no 10 which he'll never play at Madrid.
If he replaces di Maria then Madrid lose a lot of pace for the counter attack, and di Maria was arguably your player if the year ffs..
When barca, Bayern and utd won the CL, they threatened to dominate it for the next 3/4 years. These moves proves to me that madrids win will be no more than Chelsea's, liverpooms etc. a one off.
It's ridiculous that the midfield is being reshuffled, you've finally solved that problem ffs.

did it ever cross your mind that Kroos played under LvG before and maybe wasn't too keen on having to experience that pleasure again?

Nope. It was Utds choice.
We came out in public and announced we had no interest in him, an hour later Kross and Bayern came out with their 'he's won't be sold' and ' I knew bayerns position and had no intention of moving' statements.
It was so transparent as to why lol.
Anyway I'd have liked Kross here but a Vidal / herrera partnership with a mata / Rooney at the head of the triangle would be fantastic for us.
Just hope Woodward gets it done

Maybe there's still a chance? He today said nothings final yet?
Whatever Real gives him, we could give him the same and more?
Maybe we could offer him the captaincy?

Toni please didn't we have good times?

Is it because of the no. 10 shirt thing? You never forgave us that didn't you?
You can have the no. 10 shirt, Arjen won't mind!!
