And you think Falcao/Benzema will be happy playing on the bench?
You think Falcao can fulfill the same role as Benzema, allowing Bale and Ronaldo to play the same attacking roles that they currently do?

Regardless if it's Falcao or not. I don't want to go this whole season with only Benzema.

I don't care who it is but we need a back up CF.

Bebe actually played very well in Portugal last year funnily enaugh. He would be worth 6 odd million if he were up for sale properly.
But the real question here is, where does navas fit into the Higuain v Benzema debate?

I agree Nick. For a guy who was going to be out, he has sure stepped up and shown we don´t need De Gea. (and I was one of those likely the idea of De Gea).

And as a side note, his backup Casilla played extremely well in summer, putting additional heat on Navas and we can rest assured that we have a good backup if something does happen to the starter. I expect Casilla will get Copa games.

That´s harsh. It wasn´t just Perez that wanted De Gea. Good on Navas to show we don´t need him. I dont see any interest in De Gea from club anymore. We missed the opportunity, but in end, it has worked out much better than probably anyone had expected.

It´s only natural for the best Spanish club to want the best Spanish players. If you look at what is going on with the accumulation of young talents signed and then on loan, you'll see that most of them are future Spanish best players. But not all of them can time their development to make club and therefore some or several of them will miss the train like De Gea did. IMO, there is nothing wrong with this, but it does demonstrate that there is immense competition at Madrid and even being the best Spaniard at a given position does not mean you will win a spot.

Easily top 1 so far. Our defense really isn't better by that much, it's almost all Keylord.
