Villarreal absolutely brilliant in the second half. Salzburg were out of ideas towards the end
Two counter attack goals within 5 mins of eachother with Vietto and Dos Santos teeing up each other unselfishly
Seen Sevilla's result too which was good

ffs. extra time is not what Liverpool need here. it would have been better to go out. if sterling and sturridge had taken one of them chances in the first half it was game over. not a chance in hell of beating city on sunday.

well look at the bright side, now you've got a handy excuse for the inevitable loss against City

Re: Europa League 2014-15 - Pt.1
Sevilla/BMG easily the tie of the round. Both legs were amazing.
The second half went about as I thought it would. BMG had all the ball and were really applying heavy pressure on Sevilla, but they surprisingly dug in. Xhaka's red card changed things completely. BMG's head seemed to drop and Sevilla picked them off on the counter. Should have killed it sooner than that since they missed two one-on-one's.
All could have been very different had BMG taken some of their chances in the first leg, of course.
Vitolo and Vidal were amazing all night. Banega, too, before he was subbed. Gave Sevilla that clinical edge on the counter attack.

Absolutely agreed. It was a highly entertaining tie, with BMG being too wasteful in both legs. But you can't say they didn't put in a proper fight.GoonerJay29 wrote:Sevilla/BMG easily the tie of the round. Both legs were amazing.

I hope next season they will actually manage to convert some of their chances and Xhaka should learn to keep a bit more cool and not commit stupid "frust fouls".

Holebas' positioning is scaring the daylights out of me. Feyenoord are ravaging his flank.
