GL Head-to-Head Fantasy Leagues

That's right folks, it's back.  Congratulations to elitedam, Pedram, and El Shaarawy on their promotion and commiserations to Uncanny and Doc on their relegation.  Wave bye-bye to those members who opted out of participating again this season, and hello to those newcomers who will hopefully join us in the coming weeks as well.

The Head-to-Head leagues acting as a continuation from last season are being set up today.  For those who participated last season and have verified that you will participate this season, you should receive a PM with the code needed to join your respective league from either RG or myself in the coming hours.  Please join the leagues as soon as is reasonably possible so that we can ensure everyone is in without issue before the start of the season.

RealGunner will be setting up League 1 and sending out PMs with the join code to those who will be in it (see table below).  League 1 will consist of exactly 20 members this season, including all of those from that league last season who responded affirmatively to my previous PM(s) about participation and who did not finish in the bottom 2 positions.  The last two members of League 1 have been relegated to League 2, while the top 3 participants from League 2 have been promoted to League 1 (the discrepancy is due to the odd number of returning members).  

I (RedOranje) will be setting up League 2 and sending out PMs with the code needed to join in the immediate future.  Currently, League 2 has 16 participants due to those who declined to participate this season.  HOWEVER, the league will be open to new participants for this coming week and this coming week only.  If you wish to join and you did not participate last season, or are one of the few who did not respond to my previous PMs about participating this season, please PM me before the start of the season so that you can be added.  Spaces are limited so please let me know as soon as is possible if you do wish to participate.

Why not get the two first places from each league face off an the guy with the most overall points wins.

Ffs did'nt know League 2 literally meant second division. I must regain my pride.

How come more people from league two weren't "promoted"? I thought last year's league allocation was random.

I understand that. I just figured it would be different this season since there were no established league 1 and league 2 last year. People were randomly placed in the two different leagues.

No big deal. My former league 2 brethren will have to come up the hard way.

Ya i agree, i think u should put the top players (total pts, or wins/draws/losses record, your choice) in league one, and the others in league two, and maybe award the winners of each league from last year something considering there wasnt really a league one and league two. So having top 20 from last year in league one and bottom 20 in league two wouldve been more fair in my opinion. And this season the promotion can start.

The structure and handling of the leagues and interchanging of participants between them was stated explicitly in the initial announcement thread before the beginning of last season.  That, combined with the fact that the leagues have already been created for this new season mean that there will be no changes to how relegation/promotion is handled.  Suck it up and move on.




FOR THOSE THAT HAVE STILL NOT JOINED, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO JOIN AFTER THE FIRST MATCH DAY IN ONE WEEK.  ONCE AGAIN, PLEASE REPLY WITH A CONFIRMATION PM ONCE YOU JOIN THE LEAGUE SO THAT WE CAN ENSURE THE PROPER PARTICIPANTS MAKE IT IN IN TIME.
