Looooooooooooooool a big reason fifa has such a fanbase is the addictive (to many, not me) Ultimate Team mode

Ain't no game mode outside of FIFA on any game ever that can touch that group of fans.

Agreed Tom but there's still millions of Fifa players besides the crack FUT users.

Really a success for PES this year like it was with Battlefield 3 is to eat into a percentage of the install base.

No one is expecting the sales to be close, probably ever.

Yeah, FIFA will still beat PES in sales like it's always done, but it just one standout game for fans head to turn.

Battlefield 3 is actually a brilliant example, that game sold around 15-18m, not as much as CoD, but a lot of the people who would usually just stick to CoD bought the game due to good word of mouth and never looked back. That's what PES needs.

Never rated much presentations and demo tbh  Anyway it's enough normal to wait an improvement imo, I mean the PES 14 was the best PES for PS3 for me , imo finally a good game overally but it wasn't exploited worthily from PES management because basically it was useless to buy PES during first 4 months Because it was INCOMPLETE. So many updates to be completed , you couldn't even playing online the first 2-3 months becuase the online was garbage and so much lag, suspended matches

Then it was adjusted all but it is enough late. Hardly most of ppl buys a football game in March or who bought it on October was already sicken.

Selling an incomplete game is counterproductive .

So I want to be confident about the fact that this time PES will be legit, I think they found a good gameplay ( I repeat, PES 2014 is legit for me  , nothing to do with PES  2013 , a hoofball game ) , but they can't pretend to sell an incomplete game. I can understand just that update, it is normal , but last PES lol . It wasn't even half completed. Even the faces

Ah another thing  , I understand it can seem  a irrilevant detail , but I think that it should be also Normal  the possibilty to play with the rain in PS3 .

Rain is in this time Robes, they also said it will impact how the game is played.

No idea what they mean by that but I guess we'll see.

Nah lol, last pes didn't have it because it was on a new engine and they felt that if the Rain can't impact how the game was played them they didn't want it.

At least that's what they said, I personally believe they just rushed the product and didn't have time to do it.

Seriously that game while it had potential was seriously unfinished, it desperately need at least 2-3 months of polish before they released it.

You need to adjust and hoof it up to the big lad upfront IMO.

I'm a bit disappointed that they watered down the PC version's graphics. The modding community for PC has been huge in the past and as a PC player I feel slightly let down by this and I'm wondering whether to get the Xbox One version or the PC version this year. Mind you, PC version is 60% cheaper than console version.

But I need to know if you can have option files on Xbox One because without them playing PES is no fun.

I think graphics need to be upped, mainly the lightning system. Players look a bit plasticy and contrast is a little high compared to the environment. And the ball doesn't spin the way you expect it to (although much better than PES 2014). Another thing is, the game definitely needs more animations and a better physics system but I can live with it for now.

It is always going to lose to FIFA when it comes to presentation and commentary and I don't expect this year will be any different. But gameplay-wise PES looks ahead of FIFA from what I can see in the Gamescom videos I've watched so far (and playing FIFA 15 closed beta). But I don't like these backheel flicks because it is asking for ping-pong passing which I've hated for years in football games.

The graphics have had a noticeable jump since E3, they claim the same will happen between now and launch.

Time will tell whether that's PR bollocks or not though.

As for ping pong passing I don't think it will be a problem, from what I have seen it's quite difficult to successfully pull off the spam through ball tactic.

In fact in one of the matches I saw, someone tried to consistently spam through balls, hit long balls and whore out crosses and he wasn't really successful.

Not really Vibe, just saying video looks good I'm not really that hyped for it. There's only one game I'm hyped for and it's not a sports game.

I am though,this looks good.

I only play PES with friends,we go to a gaming place and place bets then play all night.We were so excited with PES 14 because I hyped it (because of you Mole ) as none of them are very active on the Internet and know about this stuff,and when we sat and played for the first time it lasted about 2 minutes.Such disappointment...We kept playing 13 for a while and haven't played for months now.FIFA is out of the question obviously,we don't like sissy football in Serbia.

Hopefully this game will be something special.

I'm the same tbh, whenever I have friends round which is quite frequently I usually play PES.

Usually it's a laugh and there's been so many memories over the years. It's one of the reasons I have never been bothered by online being shit as I do the couch multiplayer shit quite a lot.

2014 ended being a vast disappointment, I liked it first but then grew frustrated with it. So much so that when I play with mates we play 2013.

I like PES 13 the best, fast, pacey, direct and fun game. I think PES 14 is shit and too slow, it takes ages for the player to get into the position to pass or shot the ball, it's awful. Also FIFA is not really played in my country Vibe already mentioned why, so I'm playing a patched PES 13 to this day. Hoping PES 15 will be different.

PES 2014 basically looked like a real football game for me , and so it was enough to get an upgrande. I didn't appreciated so much a PES since PES 2010 (the pes who included kaiser chiefs songs if you don't remember it, I liked PES 2010 because it was speed and with good gamplan imo Maybe it was the best PES for PS3 )
In Italy FIFA is always sold out immediately, PES never. I am an exception, I continue to buy only PES ffs . Always respected Serbia to be the country for Stankovic, another reason to do it

There will be even the second divisions , it would be the first time for PES

The demo gameplay videos look okay nothing extraordinary though.

I just played 10 games on the demo; I think this is the most well rounded football game to date.
