i'm still perplexed over how Mourinho sees Fabregas' best poisition in a double pivot .
he usually likes some muscle in that position .

You blame Fabregas yet he was also woeful this past weekend with Mikel alongside him. He's been exposed as a fraud who looked better than he is when he had David Luiz playing alongside him.

Kroos, Motta, Busquets, Carrick & Alonso for my money are all better DM's. Matic is just a B2B midfielder masquerading as a DM. His positional sense is woeful & his distribution is hit & miss.

Tbf i'm not sure he does, it's just the alternative is Mikel or Ramires Laughing

I don't know, Matic has been fine, imo. It's, like, when the rest of the team doesn't play well and your DM's workload increases, you're blaming him for not dealing with it all. The typical easy criticism of a defensive player. "He defended well for 89 minutes, but that 1 minute where he lost his man and we conceded, man, what a shitty performance." Nevermind the fact that the guys in front of him played bad for 90 minutes.
