I could see it happening.

lol I like Delph....but this is just another Rodgers hit or miss signing

We're not signing Delph. That's got to be the worst rumor I have heard.

I wanted Delph already like a year or two ago

I think he's on the last year of his contract and isn't going to extend, so probably wouldn't even cost crazy money. And any signing that makes Joe Allen less likely to play is welcomed by me.

Don't we have scouting teams outside if England? I could think of 100 players better and cheaper than Delph to replace Gerrard. Oy.

Once again, we ain't signing Delph. Papers link us with every British players they can find. Last summer it was Will Hughes, Ashley Williams, Bertrand, Berahino, etc.

Now it's whoever else is having 2-3 games of good form.

Maybe there is hope. I rate Romero over Ochoa, and I haven't seen much of Dybala but if the hype around him is close to true I'll take him.

I don't know man. Dybala is having like only 5 months of decent form. I really hate signing players on the back of a good 6 months. We always do this and turns to bite us in the ass (Lovren for example).

Not a fan of Romero. But yeah I rate him over Ochoa. Really hope he's not the savior we're looking for. Would rather get a one of the younger keepers from Bundesliga.

Maybe, but sometimes it also takes time. Generally if a player shows good form for any period of more than a few games then in theory they can replicate that form or a manager can get that out of them. Look at Henderson and Markovic (although Markovic turned it around much quicker). I'm not sold on Lovren being shit just yet he still is young and has lots of time to settle into form.

That said I don't know much about Dybala. If you read most scouting on him he's not just 5 months of form and has been hyped for a long time. Although obviously his manager coming out saying he'll be better than Messi and Ronaldo in 2 years is a bit much (trying to hike his price) but he's definitely got talent.

The big problem is that, at least for now, we have to sign players that look to be breaking out but haven't quite become stars yet because we don't attract the really good players when they're in form anymore. They go to bigger money or nicer cities over the passion and history of Liverpool. Modern footballers I guess.

Agreed. Timo Horn, Loris Karius or Mattia Perin for me. We'll see though. Roman Burki as well looks class.

Don't you know, we don't sign players for less than 20 million! We learned our lessons after the horrendous signings of Coutinho & Sturridge.

Trust me when I say this, Romero is no better than Mignolet.

I see. In real world I havent at all watched him play. On FM though its another story.

Last season I came across this news that he is Gerrard's heir and they (pool) are preparing their bid  to land him or something. Didnt hear zilch after that though.
