As noted, john Cena and Roman Reigns vs. Big Show and Seth Rollins is being advertised locally for next month’s WWE Fast Lane pay-per-view.

Word from within WWE is that this match could happen but it was just announced as a placeholder for local marketing and to help with ticket sales.

The plans could change depending on what happens at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The tag match is not 100% confirmed to happen.

Don't understand what the WWE see in him ffs. I mean I can understand Reigns, he's got the look, but Rollins? Totally bland, average mic skills, generic heel, hides behind 2 jobbers.

No surprise he's main eventing in the worst period ever witnessed in WWE history.

It's as if WWE are pushing the shield because of the hype that was surrounding them when they were together. If they didn't push them now, then the WWE would look bad because of all the work they put into them.

In what could be a potential WWE Royal Rumble spoiler, John Cena is currently being advertised as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for the March 8th live event in Allentown, PA. Tickets for that event go on sale this Saturday.

It is apparent that you will not change your opinion on Rollins no matter what because of personal dislike. And please this is in no way the worst period ever, miles better than the dark ages on ultra PG television.

I think the years that saw the likes of Miz, Swagger, Del Rio and Kane have World title reigns were worse. Also the year's worth of celebrity general managers was pretty tedious.

Would definitely take Miz's reign over this. At least back then the Nexus storyline was running and 2011 saw Rock's return and RTWM, followed by summer of Punk.

Prior to that the guest host thing did suck, but guys like DX, Edge, Jericho, Undertaker, Jeff Hardy, Batista, prime Orton etc were still around. Established superstars who could carry the show.

We noted before that TNA officials wanted former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio to debut on last Wednesday’s Impact Wrestling premiere on Destination America but that obviously didn’t work out.

They also wanted WWE Hall of Famer Edge, who had just appeared on WWE TV the week before.

Edge and TNA didn’t make it to serious negotiations and never discussed money or anything like that. The situation was described as TNA putting feelers out but “the fish didn’t bite.”

TNA wanted Edge to be the new TNA authority figure as Kurt Angle re-signed from the position because he returned to active competition.

We noted earlier that John Cena was being advertised as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for the March 8th WWE live event in Allentown, PA, which could be a spoiler for his match with Seth Rollins and current champion Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

Shortly after the news was posted this morning, The PPL Center’s official website removed the line that referred to Cena as the champion. This would have came from WWE’s official press release for the event. The website now just refers to Cena as “one of the most decorated Superstars in WWE history.”

Don't post rumours about massive spoilers without spoiler tags ffs

If Cena wins WWE can *bleep* off, doing a poor mans CM Punk 'I leave if I win' storyline lmao, poor mans is putting it lightly

Rollins is GOAT btw and they need to have more heel vs heel tensions without turning one of them *bleep* 'good' it sucks and ruins it

As seen on this week’s RAW, Damien Sandow told The Miz that he’s had cameras following Miz around for the past 6 months as he lives his life. The news appeared to shock Miz and not in a good way.

The idea is that the “movie” Sandow is doing on The Miz will embarrass him bad enough that it leads to their split, likely with Sandow making the babyface turn.

The duo, mainly Sandow, has received a lot of praise internally and from fans for the past several months. The two were a big hit at this past weekend’s WWE live events also.

So I caught the last part of RAW last night and Rollins was pretty good on the mic. Held his own against Heyman and was certainly better than Lesnar but MT will still say he has poor mic skills. Even if he gives a pipe bomb level promo MT will still hate on him for whatever reason.

I'll admit it was a decent promo, but he doesn't have goat mic skills, which is what's usually required for the main event scene. If you don't have goat mic skills, you have to stand out in other ways and Rollins doesn't. He's just a generic heel. No one would ever pay to watch Seth Rollins main event WM, he's just not larger than life.

Yeah because every main eventer in history had goat mic skills Rolling Eyes Daniel Bryan, face Batista, Jeff Hardy, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit were all average on the mic and they were main eventing. Rollins is not poor on the mic by any way anymore.

If this is a generic heel, then generic is pretty good.

Funny you say that, because I didn't think he looked out of place when he was staring at a 'larger than life' superstar like Lesnar.

Anyways, we all know Rollins' role for the match. He is the one who's going to eat the pin.

Batista, Hardy, Benoit, Bret and Bryan are/were all faces.

Faces can get over with average mic skills if they're charismatic or have outstanding in ring skills. Batista was a monster at his peak and Hardy was a flashy daredevil, Rey Mysterio, RVD both flashy and entertaining in the ring. That's why they all stood out. Benoit, Bryan and Bret are amazing wrestlers. Heels can't really get over with their ring work.

All elite heels such as HHH, JBL, Edge, Jericho, Piper, CM Punk, Rock, Vince etc all have one thing in common. Amazing mic skills. If you don't have mic skills, you have to stand out in others ways. Like having an OTT gimmick like the Undertaker, Kane, being a monster like Lesnar or something to make you unique. Orton's 2009 run was successful because he stood out with his sadistic viper heel gimmick.

How does Rollins stand out? What is it he does that's unique? He's just a generic cowardly heel with average mic skills. He doesn't have any character or a persona whatsoever.

In an ideal world you'd want someone like Austin or Rock as a main eventer over a Bret Hart/Benoit type anyway. Storylines are so much better if people can act and talk on the mic. Imo promos, storylines etc matter more than actual wrestling.

It will be announced by Triple H at the end of this week’s WWE SmackDown that Daniel Bryan will face Kane on next Monday’s RAW from Dallas, Texas. This is the RAW Reunion special.

If Bryan loses the match, he will be removed from the 30-man Royal Rumble main event.

The example you mentioned, they were all unique in some ways and as MT says, they had a "larger than life" personality, something that Seth Rollins seriously lacks.
