Mail Online reports that former German soccer goalkeeper Tim Wiese will be working WWE's live event in Frankfurt, Germany on Saturday. No word yet on what his role will be. We noted in September that Wiese claimed that he had an offer from WWE.

With the news of The Great Khali departing from WWE yesterday, many speculated if WWE was going to go through yet another cleaning phase. Usually, when one release happens, another shortly follows. Usually WWE does this in the spring, which is why the release period in WWE is usually called “spring cleaning” by most reporters. This would be the first time a firing phase happened during the holiday season.

Many think that WWE will not fire anyone else for the rest of the year, but will end up doing so in January.

Many of us thought that Khali was just a special case. His contract expired, and WWE chose to not renew it, which didn’t seem like a big deal. Khali is rarely used on TV, and he has more leg problems than he needs to at his size. That said, why the sudden thought now?

Reddit User MetsFan4ever claimed recently that more would be coming.

“I’ve heard releases are coming. [Great Khali] is probably the start of things. I’ve been told about a few. But I don’t want to speculate as of right now.”

While most would wonder why many news websites get their news from him, he has broken several of WWE’s biggest news stories this year. Many claim that he is a former WWE employee, which is why he has an inside track with the goings on of the company. Usually when he says it, something goes down. That said, we have to consider this yet another clue to what WWE will do next.

Again, this is the holiday season. WWE has never gone through a firing phase at this point because they consider themselves a family company. Firing people during the holidays simply does not come across well. This is why many think the firings will come in January.

Zack Ryder, Fandango, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Curtis Axel, and Tamina Snuka are the most likely to be let go. This is due to them barely being on television. However, many think that Ryder is safe despite being out from his injury, due to his ability to work well with YouTube and social media. Both are huge for WWE, and Ryder helped get them going there.

Axel is also unlikely due to his ability to wrestle. He has helped to train people, and even helped get The Rock back in ring shape when he was coming back. Many like working with him, and he is well-liked backstage.

Meanwhile, Justin Gabriel, despite being used on NXT as of late, as well as Otunga, Fandango, and Tamina, have been of no use to WWE.

Another two on the hot seat are Brad Maddox and Cesaro.

Because everyone else is out. It was supposed to be Bryan vs Lesnar is Summerslam but he got injured. Roman Reigns was feuding with Triple H and Rollins and he got injured too. CM Punk is the natural anti Authority figure and he walked out. Randy Orton is filming a movie. Dean Ambrose has feuded with Rollins for almost 6 months and continuing to feud with him will make him go stale and lose steam.

Rollins is actually really good and has improved massively. He is easily the best heel on the roster, you are too biased to see it.

If Reigns, Bryan, Orton were not out they would be on team Anti Authority. Someone has to fill the void so they are using established veterans. I would personally use people like Sheamus, Cesaro or Swagger over these washed up scrubs.

WWE has sucked for a long time. It got especially good toward the Road To Wrestlemania last year because of the Bryan saga and The Wyatt Family/The Shield were awesome stables but they broke up.

Otherwise Bray 'setting them free' turning them loose on the WWE only for them a month later to be attacking eacher other on complete opposite sides is not only stupid, it makes Bray look even more useless than he did when he couldn't convert Kane

Have Rollins cash in on Lesnar at rumble. Ambrose wins title at EC. Bray vs Ambrose vs Bryan vs Reigns at WM, Bray wins.

Ever since Brock Lesnar won the WWE championship at SummerSlam back in August, even the most casual WWE fan could see the direction WWE was going in for the WrestleMania 31 main-event.

It’s no secret that WWE wants Roman Reigns to be the next face of the company and take John Cena’s place as the man in WWE. Their plan as of this summer, and the subsequent months, was to have Brock Lesnar win the WWE championship and crush everyone on his way to the WrestleMania 31 main event where he would lose to Roman Reigns. Now it’s likely that WWE could be changing their plans for the WrestleMania 31 main event due to multiple issues with their original plan.

It’s been reported that Brock Lesnar’s current WWE contract is expiring after WrestleMania 31 in March. It’s also been reported that Lesnar is interested in fighting again, and could possibly leave WWE in March and rejoin the UFC and attempt to reclaim the UFC heavyweight title.

As of this moment, Lesnar has not signed an extension with WWE and may be using a return to the UFC as leverage in his WWE contract negotiations in an attempt to get WWE to pay him more money for the same amount of appearances that he’s contractually obligated to make in his current deal.

The fear within WWE is that the fans who are attending WrestleMania 31, who are generally the most hardcore fans WWE has, could end up turning on the match between Lesnar and Reigns, or simply not caring because they know Lesnar is leaving which means Reigns will win.

WWE has already faced a problem like this back at WrestleMania 20 in 2004 when both Goldberg and Lesnar were leaving after the event, so the fans ended up not caring at all about the match between the two.

The likely alternative that WWE is going to go with is to have John Cena defeat Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble in January, making Cena the new WWE champion, tying Ric Flair’s record for most title reigns with 16.

Since WrestleMania audiences are typically the most hardcore fans WWE has, that means John Cena will likely be booed going into the WrestleMania 31 main-event, forcing the fans to cheer for Roman Reigns.

There have been several reports, including one by the Wrestling Observer, that WWE may go in the Cena vs. Reigns direction for WrestleMania 31. If they do that would mean that, for the moment at least, Brock Lesnar has decided to not sign an extension with WWE.

If WrestleMania 31 is Lesnar’s “swan song” with WWE then he will not be in the main event as WWE champion, and it’s likely that he will be facing off against The Rock as Vince McMahon reportedly wants that match to happen badly.

If Lesnar wins at the Royal Rumble and ends up in the WrestleMania 31 main event, then that will likely mean he signed an extension with WWE and will be around for at least another year. But as of right now it’s still a 50-50 chance that Lesnar will leave WWE and rejoin the UFC.

I like Brock, he's a great athlete and a great heel but nah if he wants to stay it has to be full time or nothing

Not more money for the same shit. Can't be dealing with that

Let him go back to UFC, now he's fit again it's obvious he'd want to go back and go out on a high and not be remembered as the guy who got ill and got his ass kicked.

Maybe when he's done with UFC for good he'll take up a better more regular contract in WWE
