That's one show I won't be watching. Can't stand her tbh. Worst thing about BB.
Still not a fan of Marvel involving tv and movies, and hope they don't mix.
Only looking forward to Daredevil since I am a fan. No sure about this one either

So let's start with the bad/the let down for many people. For some people it is everything after season 4, and for some it is just season 8 and for some it is just the show's finale.
Well, well, well where do I fit in?
Not anywhere, or at least not exactly where everyone seems to.
I think season 8 was the least best, but it still had its moments. After season 8 a eenzy weenzy bit of quality dropped I admit, but not that much, it still had its wit (what I love secondly most about this show, after the character Dexter) it still had very good Dexter monologues(narrations/voiceovers) and the Dexter - Debra dialogues were still great as always right up until the end. Dexter was becoming more and more complex and started questioning himself more and more in the later parts of the show, but one thing remained constant - he is a serial killer and he is forever drawn to the darkside and that could have never changed and that's I think what the writers did with the ending (finale).
I read reviews and checked ratings for the finale over the internet. And I just don't get people. How can they say that the finale was just absolutely bad. I think people just wanted/expected something epic to happen to save the season, but after the path which the whole of the season walked that was the best way (or at least one of the best) imo that the show could have ended. Season 8 had no real direction, I doubt whether the writers knew how they wanted the show to go that season and how they wanted it to end, maybe only right up until the penultimate episode they had an idea. The season was loose really. Some old lady shows up out of nowhere for the first time and claim she's Dexter's "spirtitual mother" - she helped create Dexter. That right there already blew the realism of the season way out of line, and that was just a bad idea, they could've introduced some other serial killer like Brian (season 1) or Trinity (season 4), but instead it followed a shaky storyline that dragged at some points, and some unnecessary filler in between.
But the way it ended was justifiable. I mean, Dexter recked everything in his life even if he was such A BLOODY BADASS COOL CHARACTER, and that was the only way the show was going to end - everything falling apart - that's realistic. So f the people that say it wasn't realistic, yeah sure the storm and all that in the finale was a bit over-the-top but the finale had a lot of symbolic meaning to it at the end. The emotion was real in the finale and I felt it. I felt sad, and kind of empty when it ended - and that was how we were supposed to feel after the last episode. FFS this is a serial killer, what did you want, a happy ending?
After the first few seasons I also had my idea of how I wanted this show to end, and I knew it would have to end in shambles for Dexter - what i wanted was maybe for Debra to stop him (find him out and plot a plan to arrest him which would probably lead to the electric chair The Green Mile-style. A ending like that would've been great. Or maybe for Debra to kill Dexter herself in one final emotional ending.) What I also felt could've worked is if LaGuerta or Batista found him out and they worked a good plot around that.
But the actual ending was very good imo. People just wanted something impossible for a poorly-structured last season.
So what do you guys think about the way Dexter ended? How would y'all have wanted it to end?
I know I'm a bit late, but would like to see what you guys felt back then when you watched the finale.
Agreed with the rating. It was a 10/10 series but thought they should have finished it a season or to earlier. Will talk about the ending some other day.

Pretty face? Prety ugly face tbh. Prime example of butterface.
Never been so happy seeing the outcome of a character in my life

I don't remember Dexter's ending all that well now, but IIRC Dex dumps Debs body in the ocean (where all the bad people ended up, what a joke), sails his boat to a hurricane whilst he leaves his son to his psycho poisoner GF, is presumed dead only to turn out that HE'S NOT!!! WOWW, nah he survived a deadly hurricane and it turns out he'll live his days chopping wood while tending his awful beard
We waited 8 seasons to see Dex get caught in all the crap he's done and we don't even get to see him die? A cruel joke, these writers probably thought Dexter was a good guy and deserved to live. Nah man thr finale, and the whole season was CRAP - totally out of Dexter's character where he makes a lot of bad decisions even though we've grown to know he's incredibly smart.
I fail to see how the endng WASN'T a "happy ending" for Dexter when it shouldn't have.

PB was fast paced imo. It had a cliffhanger before every commercial break ffs.
Also yeh, seen Justified. Not the latest season though.

Nah, but I think the bits where it fades off and plays that drum tune must be the breaks.

- Spoiler:
- It obviously wasn't, because he sacrificed Hannah and Harrison from the clutches of his demented nature.
And Deb died.
Chopping wood in the mountain ranges in the middle of nowhere, you think Dexter wanted that?

Black Mirror, a comedy thriller. Can just imagine a cop shouting 'hands up', criminal keeps running, cop pulls the trigger and a pig drops out of the sky, cue generic crowd laugh.

Been fantasising about a show where Prison Break and Breaking Bad were to merge.
Prison Break-ing Bad.
Walt working on the outside, setting up meth deals, Michael doing his stuff on the inside.

Just finished Peaky Blinders and the latest season of Lillehammer. Netflix is killing it to be quite honest.
Both are very good shows.
Seeing some promos for a Marco Polo show now, but I'm honestly not sure about that one. I have yet to not like a Netflix show so far though so this one goes straight into the queue.
There's another prison drama called Wentworth that is intriguing to me. I may check it out. I feel like it might just be another OITNB though.
