Isn't the point of the entirety of the thread and its bumps but okay...

Some chickens have come home to roost, in that they've been using the same core players for two/three years and those players look shot. The lack of quality in depth up front and at full-back has been an issue since Klopp seems reluctant to trust the likes of Tsimikas, Origi and Shaqiri to start games.
Also, Liverpool are one of those teams who feed off emotion and often push through harder moments with home support. Take the support away and suddenly they find it tough to pull out that little bit extra to get them over the line. It's a understated factor, not one that explains some of the poorer performances of late, but I can't help thinking some of those narrow losses at Anfield would have been turned around with a full crowd backing them.
Good news is, most of this can be fixed pretty easily. Fans will come back with time, the squad depth can be improved with some shrewd signings (which they've already done a few times) and Klopp can tweak his system (which he's proven willing to do). I expect they'll be back up challenging next season.
Boo hoo Jay, we were trash.

No support from his board while the other top English teams are splashing cash freely.
If he manages to win PL this season he may just be the GOAT ffs.

Not sure about others, but I was completely resigned that Klopp will never extend again. But unbelievable!

It would be baffling to me if he didn't renew, his cycle at Pool is definitely not ending yet and there's no signs of burning out.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Because he isn't like any other manager. There is a reason why Liverpool fans have been shitting themselves about losing him even after all that he is given to us and just look at Helmet's post above. The man chooses jobs based on identity, timing and culture of a club even when he can have it all. He takes sabbaticals to spend time with his family even if he is treated as a god amongst men at clubs he has worked for.
I was extremely pleasantly surprised with this news but here is my line that you can quote in the future. Klopp will not renew in 2026, he will take a 2 year break with his family and then take up some club like Dortmund again to build from scratch because that is the type of guy he is.

This is from 2017 lol.
Klopp is the greatest manager in the history of the game.
SAF would never cut it in today's football and Pep is a checkbook manager.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
He is completely burnt out. The Klopp we knew at Dortmund and the beginning of Liverpool isn't him for he's mostly cynical, tired and has aged like Pep, which isn't good. Deserved break.

"aged like Pep", what's that supposed to mean...
Salah is probably leaving too, so that means Liverpool back to the dustbins... it was nice knowing you Arq, Nishankly and McAgger, fun times is over

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Ive wanted Salah sold for a while to bank on his worth for now and as good as he is for us he isn't entirely vital to the system if at all by now.
Aged like Pep means he's aged really fast like Pep did and rapidly.
Xabi is indeed my choice easily and was my first thought, plus LFC pedigree.

This is rough for the club, the fans and recruiting. He achieved a ton with less. Interested to see where he ends up. Barca maybe?

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Klopp says he wants to take a gap year, maybe retire from coaching. Not considering another English club ever.
I wouldn't bet on that horse. Who knows what will happen next year, the rumors are Xavi will be staying which is puzzling because there's no sensible project in his mind as far as I'm concerned but regardless of what they say publicly I think he will be let go. We need someone more urgently, and Klopp might actually never come back to coaching.
