Animated movie franchises are guaranteed money tbf, kids enjoy them, so I don't see why not. They don't get a bunch of quality movies, so it should be good for them. Wish more animated movies would take the Pixar and Lego Movie approach where both adults and grown ups love them. Hell I would say Lego Movie and The Incredibles are mainly made to grown ups.

Nightcrawler. Best film of the year. Engrossed me from the first minute, to the last. One of those rare movies you watch and it grips you so much, you don't want it to end.

That's largely down to Jake Gyllenhall's phenomenal portrayal of a socially awkward loner. Out of his element, top notch acting.

Credit also to Renne Russo, who did a superb job as the news exec. I haven't seen her do a movie in ages. Also Riz Ahmed, Brit actor I recognized from the mini Channel 4 series- Dead Set. What a come up for him.

I love these type of movies. Suspensful, gripping, dark and largely filmed at night. Great score to boot, really drove the emotions home.

Gyllenhall is 2 for 2 for me now. starred in my movie of the year last year (Prisoners) and now Nightcrawler. The guy knows how to pick good roles. Apart from *cough*Prince of Persia*cough*.

He fired his entire team, agent, manager etc. after Prince of Persia if I'm not mistaking. Hasn't had a flop since.
