Neuer winning this is a disrespectful act to Courtois . The belgian was by far the best GK last season at club level. Neither at the WC was Neuer the best. Ochoa and Keylor had better tournaments. His best season to date is still his last with Schalke

Neuer would win this whether anyone thinks he deserves it or not (he damn well deserves it). Whether you think there were other keepers who performed just as good (probably) and whether you watched Schalke or not.

And when he collects his award and everyone is lyrical waxing him and he talks about whatever he needs to talk about, I would always remember him being rooted to the spot by the player who couldn't get pass a one man wall.
