Just finished a spate of assignments and exams, have a two week break ... and then I checked my schedule and realised that I have three assignments and one exam at the end of the second week and then two more assignments in the weeks after.

Hey folks, I have a question for you all. If you had to give me 10 classic books that are must reads, what would they be? I want to get a list of books to read this summer and I know there are some classics I've never read and or read them when I was younger. What would they be and why?

Is moving out and living on campus pretty common at American unis?

Yea the standard college experience in the US involves you moving out of your house and into a dorm or apartment with other students for the whole year. In most cases during the summer you go back home unless you have a summer job or what not.

Woohoo today's practical was on cockroach legs. So you freeze them, chop off a leg and stimulate it, etc, which is disgusting enough.
Lab manual suggested cutting off the head if it made you feel better, but failed to mention that cockroaches can live for weeks without their head Mad

Had a 1.5k report for this subject two weeks before, the structure was:

Intro 250
Methods 250
Results 250
Discussion 400
Future direction 300

That was a two week prac, with quite a strong conceptual background required, whereas this is a crap prac on action potentials that took an hour to complete. Not as if I've done three pracs on the same thing last year, and it's not exactly a difficult concept.
So now I have to do another 1.5k report on this cockroach prac, and that's due next week Mad

. They've taken out the future direction section because this is such a simple prac there is no future direction, and instead of lowering the word count, they bumped up the word count of the intro to ridiculous amounts

Discussion 400

Never mind that, I also have to find at least six references on .. I don't even know what, it's such a simple practical that no one even does articles on this stuff and I'd be surprised if they did manage to find funding for it, and I'm not allowed to reference the lecture material or textbook. Then I go to add up the recommended word count for what looks stupid already, and it totals 1350, the minimum word limit accepted, like ffs.

1 x cockroach
1 x scissors
1 x forceps

This is probably how I will end up to inflate the word count.

He is better than Swindon Town, but they hype him like he's going to be an EPL star, which I am yet to see, myself.

He had a good Asian cup but the best he can hope for is a small fry EPL team, tbh.
