343 put up a new Tumblr page called Hunt the Truth, where a War Photographer tries to uncover the truth behind Master Chief and his life, and whether the man who saved Earth is truly a traitor.

Looking back, Halo 4 was a forgettable game. I hope Guardians does good, I don't want one of my favorite franchises ever turn into a bunch of average games to milk money.

Stuck? you might actually have a point if i was a supporter of plastic and corporations instead of the games i play.

Fact is i don't care about Killzone or any other exclusive FPS out there because they all suck ass and most in general do. If i cared about crap FPS games i wouldn't have bought a PS4 lol.

Seriously, this shit has to stop. We're getting more announcements of "remasters" than new games these days.

Inb4 Uncharted, Mass Effect and GoW trilogy "remasters" get announced at E3.

To be honest, I'm really liking the more mature tone that the series has been taking with MC since 343 took over. Bungie's Master Chief is a boring-ass character. He's super generic and what they had him doing in the original trilogy was really rather dull. It was just the same old "save the galaxy" thing 3 times in a row.

What they had going with the Flood and the Covenant was really interesting however, especially in H2. However the MC was just a vessel to to satisfy the players' hero fantasies and carry you through the more interesting story arcs of the flood and the Arbiter. He had no depth beyond being a bad-ass space marine.

I'm really glad they're moving away from the stereotypical hero soldier that the MC was in Bungie's games. Many of us grew up with Halo and we've been wanting the writing to grow up with us.

The whole idea behind remasters is such BS, mainly because they stopped backwards compatibility just so they can get more money

I'll do it with GOW3 because i have never played it but the whole thought process behind it irks me.

Yeah, I mean, I can understand older games getting remastered, but this is just a blatant cash grab. It makes the removal of BC look like some planned thing among Sony/MS and developers in order to try and sell us the same shit we already played.

We buy new consoles for new games which wouldn't be possible to play on our old consoles, no to play the exact same fecking games we've been playing for years over and over again. It's made worse by the fact that we can already get the OG games for cheap on the PS360, whilst devs are trying to sell them to us again at $60 on the PSOne

It comes as absolutely no surprise that Square Enix played a huge part in getting this remaster thing started with Tomb Raider, f*** those guys.

Telling me Evolve and Battlefield Hardline( there's probably more) is a remaster/port? Hell i have been playing Dragonball Xenoverse lately and while it may not be considered a major release it has sold multi million copies and is not a remaster or a port.

Re-read the post, he wasn't talking about games which were released this year, he was talking about about games which were announced this year. Evolve, Hardline and Xenoverse were not announced this year.

Oh right, that isn't exactly something new though most games don't get announced till E3 or just before anyway.

I have to say, Final Fantasy Type-O is a surprisingly solid game. It may not be worth the price of a brand new title, considering it's a PS VITA port, but it's a good game, nonetheless. In fact, it's an extraordinarly good game, considering it was designed for handheld devices.

Story-wise, it's more similar to the PS1 Final Fantasy games, and it's far better than the most recent ones. I personally like the more gritty, serious setting of the game.

The game started off really slow and just didn't seem that interesting. I initially didn't think I would enjoy it, but it keeps getting better and better and I'm already several hours into it. It makes me wonder what kind of game they could've created, if they had designed a similar game for PS4, rather than handheld devices.

FF 15 looks really refreshingly different and all, and I think it will be a good game, but I really miss the more narrative, story and character-based style that the older games had. I have no doubt that FF 15 will be better than the other post FF-X games, but I have a feeling that it's going to be a more action-based game, just like the last 5-6 ones tried to be. It must be hard to find proper writers for games, these days

It's PSP port, as Vita owner I'm kicking myself for not being able to play it on the go.

As for the game, won't be able to play for a while due to Bloodbourne but for once there is no stupid annoying character in FF, and that's what I want.

Traditional jrpg is fading though, Xenoblade, Tales series and now FF are all semi action/rpg. For old school, I guess u can try Bravely Default on 3DS, it's old school job system FF.
