That New York derby has potential. Got pretty testy later on. Just need the Cosmos to get in on that action now ffs.

Everyone was talking about how this rivalry was so manufactured or w/e. Idk about anyone else but that felt legit to me. I don't remember The last time I've seen red bull arena so pumped in a regular season match. Unreal atmosphere for an east coast mls game.

Cosmos would be cool but it will probably never ever happen. They blew their chance. Honeslty I want the red bulls to go back to being the metrostars more than I want the cosmos at this point.

Think about it. City vs Metro. Just perfect ffs

Yeah agreed completely. An absolute cauldron, RBA looked. Fantastic to see. Always knew that stadium could fill out like that.

Didn't know that about the Cosmos. Smh, that's a shame. You might be on to something with them going back to the Metrostars though. Not sure that ever happens though.

LAFC announcement coming Monday. Guessing stadium, they will officially be LAFC. Not really happy about it tbh. Maybe I'm too American but I really think they should be coming up with something better. LAFC is just so bland

Well the Galaxy was already taken so the pickings were probably slim in the name department. LAFC rolls off the tongue a bit better as well I suppose.

Either way.....a big fat "meh" to this. Would prefer a football mecca like St. Louis get this franchise.

Really I prefer the traditional names

so glad Toronto FC is the name it is...don't need no cheesy trying to hard to have some hidden connection to the city name

See, I actually really like Toronto FC, for a few reasons I think it's better than LAFC

One you guys were the first with a traditional name like that. (FC Dallas rebranded from the Dallas Burn shortly after the expansion was announced if I remember correctly) Back in 05 practically every mls team had a mid nineties NBA name. But now it's like every new team that is announced doesn't bother coming up with something. League will probably be around 28-30 teams when expansion is done, but by that time we might end up with 4 ____ City's, 3 _____ Uniteds and a bunch of _______ FCs

Yeah old names like the clash and burn and wizards, a little too silly, but now I think we're being a little too safe.

Also TFC is the only team in Toronto. The LA Galaxy have been LA for 20 years, most people just call them that. Now we're goin to have LA and the Galaxy. That just seems like needless Dundee, Dundee United like confusion.

Osorio sitting deeper then him which is surprising

hope Altidore isn't to bad...he has been superb this season...all the DP's have been...it's been the back line that has let us down as usual with this club Sad

and Bendik has been pretty crap if i'm honest he's let a bunch of should of stopped goals in this year

2015 MLS Thread - Page 5 Lafc-stadium-renderings

LAFC stadium location. Deal done. Will finish construction and team will start playing in 2018.

MLS West coast continues to succeed and mls east continues to be an embarrassment. Comparing LAFC to how the league handled NYCFC is a joke. NYCFC has no stadium deal in sight, play on a pitch half the size of highbury, have the man city connection that already caused problems and embarrassed the league with the Lampard situation. Human rights issues with their ownership

LAFC have the best stadium location in the league, with out question.. Sure the name is boring but Doesnt have any foreign club alterior motives at work. Mia Hamm, Magic Johnson, other likeable celebrities bought into the ownership group. Everything about it should have been emulated in New York. With BOTH franchises

2 great assists and he Messi like dribbled past 3 defenders and his shot was just tipped on to the bar by the keeper or it would of been a GOAT goal.
