Absolutely baffling. We never have anything close to a tough group Laughing

Tbf for WC qualifiers there's no though groups if you're seeded.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaale. Putting those headers away like prime Andy Carroll.

3 goals away from equalling Ian Rush's scoring record.

Outside of the Italy Spain group, the rest are pretty easy groups.

Good game for Germany yesterday, even if the Czechs showed no resistance.
From a German perspective it is good that the clumsy oaf scored a couple of goals.
I really like this Joshua kid, I have totally forgotten about missing Phillip Lahm. Now,if only they could find a guy who is consistent at putting that little round thing in that big rectangular thing.

Seriously. They have Pjaca injured, leave Kalinic on the bench, and are still able to field Perisic-Kramaric-Mandzukic upfront. Modric and Rakitic are out, yet their midfield looks very good with Badelj-Brozovic-Kovacic.

Top squad.

Holy shit, just realised Jano Ananidze sounded so familiar.

I hyped him up to the moon when he was linked to Arsenal about 4-5 years ago

Gerogia close to 1-2 in Cardiff.

So weird Ukraina-Kosovo played in ... Poland .. because of politician reasons. If there was Spain-Kosovo they'd have played in Portugal or France for example Laughing (another country to not recognize Kosovo)

Koke and Vitolo as the wing backs? What kind of experiment is this. Monreal isnt even a CB

I imagine the "wingbacks" will be Monreal and Vitolo. Vitolo more forward, with Koke RCM covering up. Monreal on the left more back, with Iniesta pushing up more.

@halamadrid2

I think so, experimental and loop sided, it will be interesting. Here is something like how I see it. Busquets dropping back, Vitolo owning the right wing, Iniesta-Monreal covering the left.

Costa
------Silva
Iniesta------------------------------Vitolo
----------Thiago------------Koke
Monreal--------Busquets
-------------Ramos---------Pique

With Thiago and Iniesta on one side, not sure how much help Monreal is going to get. I would probably put Koke there to assist with the defensive responsibility. Vitolo has played wing back for Sevilla before. Somehow i doubt Vitolo is in there to play WB, if that's what Lopetegui wanted he would have played Carvajal. Something tells me he is going to play a 343 with Pique, Ramos and Monreal at the back and 4 midfielders to monopolize posssion and hence minimise Albania's attack towards the 2 calamities at the back to a single attack. Whatever it is he is a fool for benching the best defender Spain have in Carvajal

Its Albania, even they themselves joked about how much they are gonna park the bus against Spain. I think the phrase from De Biasi was "we'll take the wheels off the bus so they ball doesn't squeeze between them" Laughing

It will be all out attack. everyone will be pushing up anyway.
