Would Pele be top 10 player today?

They were showing world cup 1962 on TV and teams were defending so laughable that i decided to ask this question. Basically anyone could score amazing goals on his own

Impossible to know, you cannot compare players too far out of their time. Pele himself would have been better with modern coaching and sports science.

Pele played as full professional in the half-amateur era, that was a huge edge which would be nullified in the modern game.
Also he was a bit of a hype job, 3 World Cups, non of where he was even the teams best player. Over 1000 goals, yeah if you count goals he scored in park football and against some nazis in the movies.

I think I believe harmonica since he has all the stats to back his claims. Pele's 'important contribution' in all 3 WCs was lacking in oppose to players like Enzo Perez, Messi, Biglia and Gonzalo Higuain at WC14.

I agree. With the advancement in Technology, science and injury specialists i feel like players from generations ago could've been better than they were.

It was much harder during Pele's era because the ball was heavier and shoes not as sophisticated as today.

I agree that "if" Pele had this or had that he would be better. But without "if" he is still inferior no? my question is for example if Brazil 1962 faces Barcelona 2015. who would win?
