We played well for the beginning of the season, we need to overall improve.
a lot of sloppy play which is expected this early on.
I'm glad we didn't drop points which is all that really matters though.

Verm always had a knack for a goal, plus he defended well. But I refuse to get happy, only a matter of time before he injury strikes him again.

Good there was a clean sheet anyway.

Not the best performance but in reality it should have been a 3 nil win considering everything.

I wouldn't go that far but yes, Iniesta is already playing much better than last season in these "smaller" games. Lots of dribbles and throughpasses.

And how is Neymar so sharp already? Dude has last played a full competitive game in the Copa America before he got sent off?

I thought this game was a perfect example of what we miss when Alves is out. Right flank was completely ineffective and all our attacks came from the left. Roberto just doesnt have the technique or the passing to contribute against PTB teams.

Right flank was ineffective because Rakitic sucked donkey balls, Roberto was fine.

i tend to agree with linetty on this one. Rakitic had a poor game and it affected the right side. We are playing midfielders rather in wide position since LE, so him having a poor game probably affected the right flank more than Roberto's inability.

Yeah. In fact Roberto should of had an assist but his cross was stopped by a last-ditch effort.
