I'm with Sri.
Been disappointed more than once over the last couple of years after looking like champions in one half and a League 2 side in the other

Exactly. We have been gifting the ball away quite a few times. A more efficient side would have put a few past us already. Besides, we are mental midgets. It will take a couple of fouls and one dicey goal for us to self destruct.

Its like last season's same match except for the fact that then Ars couldnt finish all those gazzillion chances they created and we fluked it and won.
Not complaining.

I think the bigger difference is Cech instead of Szczesny.

He has made at least 3 big saves since our last chance - which was the first half Ramsey miss.

Stop being so diplomatic lol, you were 3-0 up and they were never coming back in it lol.
Dunno why you act like this everytime you get a big lead lol( Arsenal fans in general) it's not like you give up big leads everytime lol.

One time? Lolwut.
We have been getting hidings in big games for a good while now.
And till we eliminate, or at least mitigate, silly mistakes - like gifting the ball away in bad areas or switching off completely in critical situations or our trademark brain farts, it is not easy for fans to get over the scarring in the short term.

But that hardly tells anything. From you guys's point of view I understand what you are saying as Arsenal have that dubious record of throwing away leads and succumbing. So yea..
But even then this match was long done and dusted after just 20 minutes. We just dont have that mentality either to mount a comeback.
Sure they were good saves dont get me wrong but still I cant see those saves being detrimental to the outcome of this game. We would have lost regardless even if one or two would have gone in. We just didnt turn up today. You guys deserved it and graciously accepting we were 2nd best. Enjoy the win.
One good thing though from our point of view after this match would be probably and hopefully some of those players who were getting a free run in the side, even after constantly under-performing, hopefully lvg will think twice before starting them.

2nd half was a very good defensive display. Bellerin and Monreal in particular. We have great fullbacks

Finally heaving a sigh of relief now. Props for the sportive assessment!
Also, first time I am watching Martial - looks like a really good buy!
