Looks like Brie Larson will scoop all the awards for Best Actress this season. Only one I would want to win if it's not her is Saiorse Ronan, she was so lovely and powerful in Brooklyn. I was actually surprised by her leading actress capabilities.

I've seen it. It's by some way his least complicated film to date, but it's still prime Kaufman peculiar.

It's rated very highly generally but I personally didn't get into the story and its characters

Just watched Will Smith on good morning America. Says Hollywood is regressing and that is also boycotting the Academy Awards.

Other people were nobodies in hollywood, but the biggest ethnic minority star not going will be huge.

Exactly. It's pretty obvious Will Smith doesn't give a shit about improving the opportunities for minorities. If he did, why wouldn't he try to make legit movies for them. He was the biggest movie star in the world for almost a decade without doing anything but promote himself.

He didn't even want to help his fellow co-stars on Fresh Prince get a fair salary, because "It wasn't his problem".

Back from The Hateful Eight.

Fantastic film. Tarantino is a genius. Great acting and only Tarantino can make a 3 hour long film which doesn't let you get bored even for a second.

8.5/10
