Because it was 0-0 doesn't mean it was bad lol.
Should have been 3-3 minimum.

I wish I can get those 2 hours of my life back.
2 poor teams. poor quality on show.
Prolly the worst utd-chelsea match( in terms of quality on show) that i can remember.
Another dull 0-0.

Even game in the end by United and Chelsea. But that Matic 1v1 miss and Rooney at the back post miss tho
Also Hererra isnt showing enough to start. I mean watching this game and the one at the weekend you could kind of understand why he is benched by LVG. Just plain average

I should have bet on this. 0-0 was such an obvious result for this game.

Cause he is not a no.10. Its simple. Watch his performances last season when he was playing in a 2 man mf alongside Carrick. He was basically the best player everytime when he started. The guy's no silva or ozil to play in the hole. Even today he made more interceptions and tackles than a forward run or a through ball. Play him alongside Schneiderlin and you will see how good he is as a CM. But then again it will never happen with lvg at the helm we fans know that.

Much better game but in the second half it was same old United. Chelsea are so poor, need new players badly.

I think you should try to find another club for your own sake. Seems to me your standards won't be met by Utd in the foreseeable future

I honestly think Utd's performances in the last months were better than their results, up to a certain point at least.
That certain point is the final ball

i'd say Herrera is best in a 3 man midfield 4-3-3...he was his best for us last year when we played 4-3-3...Van Gaal is insistent on playing a #10 this year tho for some reason even tho we took apart Liverpool, City, and Spurs last year playing 4-3-3

You're right, that was miles worst. Totally deleted that match from my memory up until this very moment.

Nope. We had the promise of a solid defensive unit. That has gone to shet in the past month. So now not only are we struggling to score, we're shipping in goals too.

It's time for a "Louis van Goliath vs. Sir David Moyesiah" face-off thread IMO.
Sir David Moyesiah 13/14: 19 games, 34 points, 32:22 goal difference, 6th place.
Louis van Goliath 15/16: 19 games, 30 points, 22:16 goal difference, 6th place.
Also need to factor in Louis van Goliath spent € 300M and is playing in the weakest Premier League season of all time with direct top 4 challengers Chelsea bottling it hard. So Sir David Moyesiah deserves extra points.

I think the main flaw about van Gaal as a COACH is that he can either get a team to be defensively solid OR creatively attacking. He can do one of both very well, but to get both together is beyond him.
Not talking about his main flaws as MANAGER which are erratic man management and squad building

Hmm part of the reason why herrera looks off when playing further up is lol rooni. His positional indiscipline has him playing all over the pitch and more essentially occupying the place of anyone who is playing in the hole. So with rooney eventhough on paper is playing as a cf, he is basically a no.10 getting into positions of the actual no.10. Hence herrera had to further get away and play somewhere else. The only area he can do that in this kind of a setup is right wing (which i think he did a couple of times). And then he played further deep too, which essentially made it a 3 man mf which against a ptb chelsea wasnt required.
I am not faulting WR neither i am justifying ander. rooney wasnt bad today. not 'MOTM not bad' but still better than his usual shit self. But the problem in the team is him its clear as a day. May be he should be playing in the hole. But we have seen how shite he is there. Or perhaps he is getting into some form. Lets see

Özil 9 key passes, almost as good as Messi against Switzerland in World Cup.
