A Kosovar journalist said yesterday that Xhaka has flown to London to finalize the deal, I shrugged it off as another wanker quoting caughtoffside or something but it appears he was right.

If this is made official it will be a very strong early foray into the transfer market and I can only cross my fingers that the club will continue to make shrewd, proactive changes along these lines (not only signings) this summer.

£31mil for Lacazette was turned town, Morata could go for £51mil, Everton might want £65mil for Lukaku and who knows how much Higuain would cost now. I can't see Wenger entering this market somehow.

Couple of years back, we made a strong early foray. And then we didn't do anything else for rest of the summer.

Last year, we signed Cech relatively early. And then we didn't do anything else for rest of the summer.

I see a pattern here. Yay. Fourth place!

Ornacle is ok, but ain't no .com. Anyway, the only reason I find this remotely happy atm is the thought/possibility of goalol a.k.a Boss.
Xhaka and Shaqiri were his fav players years back. He always spoke of how much he'd like us to sign them.

I think we should be fine with Giroud, he just had his best season at Arsenal even though he didn't score for like half of the season. Laughing

Ben Arfa as a free agent would be decent if it allows us to go nuts on a great striker. But if we sign some scrub like Morata upfront, I'll be pissed if the RW isn't a goalscoring beast.
