Hope Renewed or False Dawn: Palermo vs Milan

MILAN - The team were out on the training pitch at noon on Tuesday, February 2nd for their final training session ahead of the league game at Palermo.

The players went through a warm-up and then got down to some tactics for the match which took place across the whole pitch.

Here is the 23-man squad for Palermo:

GOALKEEPERS: Abbiati, Donnarumma, Livieri

Main thing to say is we need to build on the previous match. Sure, Inter are in terrible form and the win might have been a fluke but I saw with my own eyes the intensity all of our players bought into the match. From Donarumma to Bacca, our defence, our midfield, they were all great. If they bring half that intensity in the rest of our games we will have a good rest of the season. We tend to struggle away to Palermo so that suggests we will lose. But then again, we had a bad record against Inter at recent times too and we emphatically erased that. Tbh I am predicting a draw tomorrow.

You make a good case , but going from past experience it's such games which truly make teams turn a page . I don't expect to see a replay of the derby week in week out like you said , but i do suspect this game has left it's mark on the team.

If i am honest here , i think we'll win , even though i wouldn't put my hand in the fire either.. Having said that , i don't think this inconsistent Palermo should be taking even a point from us , even away. Vazquez is going to be trouble , but we should be able to win after what we showed against Inter , in spite of Vazquez , Gila or Hiljemark ( i liked that one in the first game , ples trade with Poli ).

We're in great form , spirits are high , conviction will be there . Jack had a week's rest prior to the derby . I think we should be doing well tonight .

Won't get to watch the game , but looking forward to seeing what happens. As mentioned, it's really important for us to take the Inter win and build on that instead of falling flat on our faces.

Alex expected to start instead of Zapata now.

Alex was a beast last match apart from that penalty. Much better than Zapata and Mexes I always thought.

Yeah I like the Alex-Romagnoli pair tbh, they seem to work well together. Roma-Zapata was a cringe fest.
