SO who is your fav now?
Now that favourites Brazil, Argentina, Chile is out. I can only think of Uruguay and Paraguay as strong favourites.
Uruguay is a good team who did well in World C and lost only narrowly in the semis. Paraguay is a good team as well, they did well against the current World Champs in WC, and should have eliminated the eventual winners had they had luck on their side. These two teams are by no means shocking if they win this cup.
anyway i place my bet on Uruguay to become champs

I would go with Uruguay as well.
Funny enough, I had Colombia billed as under-dogs, what with their calibre of players and encouraging group stage performances, it was strange seeing them go out too.

Although I don't agree that Uruguay lost narrowly in the semi's, I support Uruguay, I did from the start. They are now pretty much the clear favourites, no?

Re: SO who is your fav now?
Uruguay was drawing 1-1 with Holland, but then they scored two goals and it was 3-1 in favour of the Orange guys. Uruguay scored another one making the score be 3-2, still in favour of Holland. After that goal, made in the 35th minute of the 2nd half, Uruguay had Holland in their area and could have scored the third goal. The match ended with a freekick of Forlan that hitted the bar.
Holland won but Uruguay was close to make a miracle .
