like - that loss lost me like 1/5th of a level. Games with a single gold medal have lost me nearly entire levels so while it's score based; you need to really impress for it to affect the points you gain/lose.

That was my point Phritz. If you need to get multiple gold medals to avoid getting rekt after a loss, you disincentivize people playing a hero like Mercy (who in a lot of situations is a must) because you're only going to get one gold medal. Unless you're a Mercy who excels at being on the objective

Which is why it's bullshit anyway. Like I said, the game isn't good enough at determining who played well and who didn't, so they need to scrap it altogether and just go by W/L

D. Va is good now but I'm not convinced she's broken. We'll find out who's really broken now when tournaments with the patch occur *cough* McCree *cough*

I'm not that good as my post patch Dva match history suggests - I must be averaging 40+  kills per game post buff; gold damage; voteworthy block amounts pretty much doing everything

And that's in every game. Her mobility more than makes up for her range which atm is literally her  only weakness; she still has a pretty big critbox though. But the way I've been plowing through the rankings is unreal. 5 levels in 2 hours with mostly Dva

Except the critbox is no longer that big of a deal considering you can have your matrix up essentially whenever you want it

I wouldn't be surprised to see her tweaked again, but I'll still wait and see. To me it's more clear cut that McCree is OP again (on PC)

The op thing with Dva is that she can negate an enemy teams burst (as you can see almost completely block enemy teams ana ulted reaper ult) and she will almost always win out in extended fights with her lack of needing to reload; her ability to chase stragglers down and a friggen revive passive.

moabing is fun because the enemy team usually almost never looks that far up and its the only way to get kills with it without cc

Dva was fine before anyway lol, i had no issues getting elims with her. Most of my longest streaks (multiple 25+ ones ) where with her.

People just say she sucked because they don't know how to use her lol and then everyone repeated that she sucked as fact because pro players say it like it's gospel.

Now she sounds completely OP, which isn't surprised as no gaming developer seems to be capable of balancing something in a MP game without making it far too powerful or far too weak there is no in between.

Blizzard needs to fix the D. Va button configurations. I changed it so that R1 was back to being the matrix, but even then there is no cancel. Essentially, they've gotten rid of your ability to cancel out of your boost unless you shoot or melee, correct?

Because even with the default configuration I don't think R1 was the cancel, and obviously L2 can't be.

Well there isn't a cancel for defense matrix because it's a channeled ability; does it not stop when you release the button?

L2 used to be the cancel, now it's R2 and the matrix is L2. Takes a bit of getting used to combined with the fact you have to hold L2 and not just press it and let go.

I got used to it by the end of the night though.

I'll probs keep defense matrix on R1 then, but I guess I'll just have to get used to R2 being cancel. Tbh that's BS because R2 is shoot.

The new configuration means you can't cancel out of it, you have to shoot out of it, and that has real implications (decline in mobility).

Cbarca I think you're smart but there is no cancelling DVa's defense matrix - you hold down the button and release to cancel; The control scheme should be exactly like Reinhart shield.

The whole point is you can fly up to stationary targets shield up and out dps them short range
