Surprisingly i agree with Zigra, FdB/the team needed that bad form for Pioli to wake them up. He would not have as much success, say, if they started out the season with Pioli instead

7 wins in a row under Pioli

Under FDB we wasted points in easy matches as :
Chievo Inter 2-0
Inter-Palermo 1-1
Inter- Cagliari 1-2 (the only away win for Cagliari)
Inter-Bologna 1-1
Sampdoria-Inter 1-0

Otherwise we fought for the title now

Incredible fraud , but I already knew it because of Zigra

FDB also took the position in late July/August because of Mancini's dramatics, he never really had a chance.

Anyways, this is the story of Inter for what, the past 4-5 seasons? Hard to blame FDB for a bigger problem

Yeah , losing the 50 % of matches is an ordinary thing.
Hard to admit we are not so scrub as you hoped / thought.

I think this Inter team is very good to be honest, very talented and should be comfortably in the top 3 in Serie A.

I also think the team has been absolutely terrible for the last several seasons, appointed managers that didn't work out, didn't have great luck with signings or results and have just been mediocre in every way.

Anyways, how many times has this happened:

Start the season with a bad run of results> fire before the season ends
Replace with an interim manager who goes on a nice run> Retain that manager for the following season > start the season with a bad run of results

No one does this better, or worse rather, than Inter.

And you should know better than to talk about Inter, or any team, based on a sample size of ~10 games. Mancini was the winter champion last season, worked out well.

But interim manager usually don't work on Inter tbh
It's the reason why many Inter fans didn't want to change De Boer, because they thought it was useleess. Because we aren't as Roma, when an Inter season begins badly it finishes badly.  Just Invernizzi and Leonardo performed as interim managers in Inter history so far..
Now we realized , instead, that we had to change him before than now . And it is not just matter of result.. De Boer disaster was beyond this .
Simply he proved to be inept ( for many reasons, surely the main mistake was made by Thohir to call him . But not for this reason we had to keep until end )  and infact he was  taking us on relegation battle.
it seems we were 6th or 7th , reading some opinions .. He didn't make just bad , he made a disaster. (And I prefer to forget the fact that we were knocked out from a very easy EL group) .. Inter are not used to stay in relegation battle, or relegating unlike others so it wasn't good to begin this year.

Lmao , I've found out now
He had some excuses ( signed too late, not enough time to adapt properly) , but terrible manager and he proved it
I was reading old posts and someone wrote that Inter are a joke club for sacking this sort of prophet of the football...
History gave reason to this sack.
De Boer proved to be scrub also after Inter ( Palace , and even in MLS ) while Inter came back at Champions League with the manager who succeeded him ( Spalletti)
Sorry for Netherlands, they'll continue the tradition of the " jump of the tournament". I can't see them in Qatar 2022

He had a promising, nay terrific, start as manager with Ajax winning 4 league titles in a row. But then he went to Inter and got sacked in November.

Same thing with Palace, he only managed to stay in charge for a little over two months. So how did he manage to land the Netherlands' job, I'll never know.

He got even sacked from Atlanta, MLS

Just because he's Dutch and Koeman has left, most of NTs are reluctant to sign foreign managers

Former great players paired with their names serve an immediate advantage. He is there due to his name and network alone.

We all know he is a shambolic manager.

Its why nobodies like Klopp deserve the pedestal they do since he was well..a terrible player.

More so Mourinho who was nothing at all and did not even have a proper football career.

Don't see why they aren't getting Koeman to take over again just for the Euros. Not like club managers have much to do in the summer.

Wow. de Boer continuing to show what a terrible manager he is not surprising nor does it break my heart given he is still living off his decent Ajax tenure to which was mostly living off Martin Cock Jol's team.

And why would anyone hire Koeman? Fine not many options but better options than him.

Cock Jol and Dick Jol. Laughing probably the funniest names for a pair of brothers ever.

He was doing a great job before he left for Barca, people were thinking of them as favorites for the Euro. There was the usual line going around that he’s riding the coattails of a great generation, but clearly it’s not that simple as they’ve been awful under De Boer. Things are also looking up for Koeman at Barca, I think he’s done as well as could be expected all things considered.

Ive come to realise he is basically a younger, more naive Roy Hodgson.

Unlike Roy who took his sweet time to retire;

Frank needs to retire now.
