Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Both yellows looked pretty soft to me on replay, but Walker is such an idiot and City are so horrible.
Their midfield and defense are absolute garbage. Why they would think a 200m 18 y/o striker would solve those problems is beyond me.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Loool, not surprised actually. The way Pep plays, just too prone to counters and defensively weak. I dont buy this 3 CBs and then all attacking players bar Fernandinho, who isnt that great defending anyway.
Also it seems he want to buy more attacking players? Its just over packed with them and imbalanced team. Not sure if they are still title favourites if they lose this first home game....
Ive seen this before too with the game City players get frustrated and lose their heads, surely a lot of the blame has to be on Pep the way he asks and demands his players to play this way, kind understandable when it doesnt work out despite u running to much and playing so hard every game, without seemingly able to score that easily as well.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
well ok
in slo mo, shown from the side it doesn't look like much
But shown in real time and from a proper angle, the yellow makes sense IMO

I'm fully for VAR now after these past few days.
Even goalline tech in Spain would be appreciated

VAR in Germany has been rather poor tbh
It's wrong to think that it eliminates ref mistakes
It actually takes ref mistakes to a meta-level

City have got a fetish for getting attacking players. They have a very average midfield and defence. The only way to win titles is to have a strong midfield

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Hopefully this ends the whole Aguero-Jesus combo. Aguero is selfish, he's lost his pace, and he isn't clinical at all.
Sane isn't a wingback. He's one of the best channel runners in the league. His talent is being wasted just maintaining width on the wing ffs. He defends like I do on pro clubs.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
As mentioned, there are so many obvious problems, this is Pep's second season with his players, after getting rid of so many, and this is what he has to show for it. Better show us something better this second half, or else Ive lost faith in him too....
And to bring up Mou naturally, I always thought Mou > Pep, and look at how much improved and balanced Man U are now ffs...

Sterling on for Jesus. To keep width on both sides, presumably.

I just realized that Pep spent like 150m on fullbacks just to start Sane as a wingback

Im also not understanding why they wanna put high crosses into the box when u got Silva and Aguero trying to win headers Its like Pep is stuck somewhere between trying to adapt to EPL style and playing his own and ending up lost LOL.

All those big money wunderkids of City on display tonight and yet this lad Everton bought from Sheffield United for 1.8 milion called Calvert Lewin outshone them all.
