Mark Lawrenson has not predicted a Liverpool loss since the end of the 15/16 season. 47 predictions ago.

Ozil is irreplaceable ffs. No one in the team moves the ball as well as he does.

It's time to call Xhaka a premier league flop. I'm absolutely done with him.

Problem is the center of Arsenal's midfield is so bad as it attains to preventing counter attacks this will happen most weeks Ozil, Lacazette and Sanchez is fine if your midfield can actually protect you somewhat, Ramsey and Xhaka are not doing that.
They need to completely revamp the central midfield.

Ramsey is always in the box, so it's only Xhaka playing in front of the defense lol. Ramsey is either undisciplined, or his manager has no respect for squad balance asking him to run up so much

What midfielder(s) could Arsenal realistically bring in that can fix their problem in the center?

one that stays in position and does not think of himself as Griezmann... should not be that hard, if they play a double pivot, the double pivot needs to cover the midfield, not try to score goalsMcLewis wrote:What midfielder(s) could Arsenal realistically bring in that can fix their problem in the center?

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 3
Has to take responsibility at some point. He's in a double pivot and I've seen him more forward than your forwards a couple times this game He's regularly as far forward as Sanchez and Ozil
Not that Wenger is a very good manager anymore or anything, he definitely takes some of the blame, honestly probably quite a decent amount of it.
Haven't seen anything from Ramsey the last couple seasons to suggest he's at a level at all equal to some of the best midfielders in the EPL. Honestly would rather have Winks

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 3
Xhaka is garbage, tbh. Completely incapable of playing under pressure and is a poor defender. Only time his passing can't hurt teams is if he has space to play them. He's made to look so much worse by our complete lack of positional structure in position .
The second CM in Arsenal's team is instructed to go forward. Doesn't matter who it is. Even Coquelin flies forward when he plays. Ramsey suits it better because of his engine but it's a fundamentally bad coaching decision.
Ramsey can be disciplined if he's told to eg. Chelsea away this year.
