S wrote:Firenze wrote:Just saw a stat, dunno how accurate it is but it sounds right, Mou vs top 6 this season; 5 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses
last season it was 2 wins, 4 losses, 4 draws, that's a big improvement
Will e-mail this stat to Woodward so he could prepare a 10 year contract extension
I just want to see more CLMania moments like you being kicked out by Sevilla. Hopefully Basel is next
Oh wait thats already happened My bad.
funny you should mention Sevilla and Basel; both teams have more impressive wins than you this season. Basel have beaten United and City. Sevilla beat us and are involved in a thrilling match with Bayern.
You snuck past Spurs (4th in PL) and got destroyed by Kommander, As far as I'm concerned Sevilla would have battered you too and Basel would be 50/50 over two legs. Put some respect on their name With that Khedira - Can pivot the future looks bright though.

City would have to offer like 300m for us to even entertain the offer lol, we don't sell starters to rivals in the league.
I'd take that kinda money though as we could pillage Juve and Barca with those funds.
Dybala, Umtiti, Kessie

Haha, I read the last few pages, @Firenze you are amazing.
Can't wait to see the reaction from both managers. I don't know why but somehow I started to admire Pep Guardiola very much in the last year. Both Jose and Pep are very smart and nice guys.

one thing I'm certain of is that Martial is finished under Mou, such a shame. I think Bale swap deal or something. Gonna be huge for Madrid.

Alex Sandro in a wheelchair while blindfolded would be better than Ashley Young. Why you would be against an obvious upgrade to your team is quite shocking

Firenze, I'm amazed how well you dominate the Juve fans alone, after all these years... You'll have your own place in Man United's Hall of Fame.

Young is having the best season of his life defensively. Locked down the most dangerous Arab of all time a few weeks ago, the only one to have really done it this season. Among other brave performances.
Is it possible Young will revert to a scrub at some point? Likely even. He's also old. But I'm not all that keen on buying Sandro when he seems to be on the decline and Juve will want big money for him. I'd rather look elsewhere.

If you allow Sandro to defend like this: https://www.clippituser.tv/c/zbzbrb then he'll excel my man
Alex Sandro is still quality and 27. In a very bleak looking full back market, you can do much worse
We got great performances from Asamoah this season, doesn't mean Juve fans want him to be our starter next season my man
You've quite clearly have to at least try for improvements. Imagine signing Sanchez on the worst contract in professional sports and second guessing Alex Sandro ffs

He can stay frozen in time in last season and still be better than Ashley Young
But I do agree, he's been shit this season

Spurs tied with the lot with a game in hand now

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey has directly contributed to a goal every 100 minutes in all comps this season, which is better than Dele Alli (every 116 mins), Kevin De Bruyne (118 mins), David Silva (121 mins), and Christian Eriksen (148 mins).

is that taking into account his stats in the glorified farm league that is the EL? he seems to GOAT there and be pretty average in the PL

for the first time since 2009/10 Manchester United have beaten every team in the league
season would have looked a lot better if not for that disgraceful CL performance to Sevilla

That was a textbook City 16/17 performance right there. Great comeback from United. Pogba went from looking like Bakaye in the first half to that ffs.

Mourinho needs more support and funds obviously but fickle fans like you are making it hard for him ffs. Atleast you have come to the realization now that he needs to stay for another decade. He's what's best for business IMO

Next season it's United's title to lose tbh
They are building a special team. Just need to add a striker, midfielders, defenders, back up midfielders, more defenders and maybe few wingers.
they are set pretty much

Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 8
I don't think City have been this special team miles better than the others individually at all this season, it's just they've grinded out results and been consistent, whereas United haven't and everyone else are frauds with far inferior budgets. Mourinho could win the PL and CL next season and I'd want him gone. He had absolutely nothing to lose today besides pride which is why he roused the team into going for it. Anytime there's anything on the line of any substance he will continue to bottle it and be a coward that plays unsightly football. Would rather play open football like Loserpool and win absolutely NOTHING than play like Mou does.

Nah lol, it's just their standard has been so much higher than everyone else when they don't meet that we think they've been meh.
They've been leagues above the competition this year in the league, there's no doubt about that.

Only on here can a team that won 18 games in a row, while playing some of the best football this league has ever seen is put down to "nothing special, just consistency and grinding out results"

Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 8
Best football the league has ever seen? f off. Looked bang average against us both games. Pool massacred them twice this season (and got massacred themselves early on) There were many games in that unbeaten run where they looked poor and nicked it in the last 10 mins too. They aren't anything special like the fanboys try to make out, just the rest have been inconsistent and poor.
Look at the results in Europe to back that up. Napoli gave them some problems. Basel beat them at the Emptyhad. Loserpool (first good team they face) knocks them out.
I'm not saying they don't deserve to win the league, the absolutely do and have been the best team this season without question, But they're far from a special team that deserve to be put on some pedestal. Not buying that.
